Specifically, I changed "Anisotropic Filtering" and "Antialiasing - Mode" to "Application controlled" for Nights.exe in the nvidia control panel, and this was enough to get it working. Thanks for the hint!

Thanks for sharing this. I'm gonna bump up your post and hopefully others see this. Also VSYNC settings may have to do with this issue on ATI cards specifically. I have not had a chance to play the game yet, after I get some more money next month I'll get my own copy of the game (unemployment can be a you know what)

On my laptop, a MSI CX61 with an nvidia Geforce 645M video chip, disabling FSAA and anisotropic filtering let the game work.

Thanks for the tip!

Bumping this dead thread, in case anyone else runs into the same issue as me.
Make sure the .exe you're messing with is called "nights.exe". If Nvidia only detects "launcher.exe" (like me) you're going to have to search for the .exe by selecting the Add button to the right of the drop-down menu. So long as Nights was the last .exe you opened, it should be at the top of the list.
