Where is the story?

I used to remember as a kid that there were cutscenes and a story to follow, I think even a red rival that looked a lot like Nights, but this game, other than the opening intro seems to have no such scenes, if not then what the fudge am I remembering, was it all just a fever dream?

The main game doesn't really have cutscenes, you have to linger on the title screen for a minute to see each kid's intro scene.

That's crazy, so I may have imagined the whole thing when I was younger, I will take a loot at the intro scenes though thanks.

I think there are still cutscenes at the end of the game. They were giving some closure. It is a pity Balan Wonderworld did not work out because there are very interesting themes in all these games.

To be honest story isn't really the point of this game, it's mostly an arcade one and story is just an excuse than a necessity.

am i crazy? I was young when i had a sega but i remember the kids flying through these levels.
