Controller support for console version
In 2019 game debiut on console, do we can get controller support from that port to steam deck. I just play first game, almost done and find it weird that sequel/spin off don't have controller support like breakout anniversary have.

Hello,

When they were initially released, the only way to play our 2D point & click games (except Pillars of the Earth I think) was using mouse and keyboard, because they were only available on Windows, macOS and sometimes also Linux. Later we started releasing these games on consoles so for the game we wanted to release on consoles, we added controller support, made some technical updates and also fixed some bugs.

In case of Deponia we also updated the Steam version afterwards, so it has controller support too, and Anna's Quest got controller support in an update earlier this year (around 1 1/2 years after it was released on consoles), in case of other games that have released on consoles by now, the PC version (which also runs on the Steam Deck) was not yet updated as far as I know, so there is no controller support yet. This will probably change at some point in the future though, but most likely not in the near future, since the games were released at least 5 years ago (11 years in case of Harvey's New Eyes) and by that are no longer in active development and no longer have their own dev team (there are only a few devs that handle bringing these games to consoles and updating them).

Edna & Harvey: The Breakout is a special case here, since the original original version used a Java based engine, that had some issues on PC (partially due to the fact that Java has evolved over the years) and also made it impossible to bring the game to other platforms, since Java only supports Windows, macOS and Linux (and to some extend also Android). This problem was solved with the Anniversary Edition, which includes redrawn graphics, controller support and uses Unity, while it mostly keeps the game logic from the original game (according to the game files) and as part of the classic mode also keeps the original graphics.
