BTW you can also use the Ctrl key instead of hitting the left and right mouse button at the same time ...
You're right :)
Being An Entrepreneur, Connecting The Pieces (right side exit on map), Four Different Exits (left side exit on map), Impossible Paths (right side exit on map), Laying The Foundation (up and down exits on map), A Loop That Won't Close (left side exit on map), A Book And It's Cover (up exit on map), and I Can Do Anything.
I can confirm that I've solved every puzzle with the yellow gun only, via a save file I have backed up. One sign is missing because the trigger for this sign to load into the save file is when you pick up the red gun. The map looks awfully weird and disconnected in some areas (all the ones I listed above), and the room I Can Do Anything doesn't even appear because the trigger for it to appear on the map is, again, picking up the red gun. The proof that I have completed this room, however, is because I have obtained sign #23 ("The further we get, the less help we need." )
If it was intended to be able to complete the puzzles with the yellow gun, then they would link up and complete the map nicely as it does when you obtain the red gun.
If it's possible I want to see it :D
Woah! If you managed to do this, share please!
How it is done:
It is impossible to actually do any of the three puzzles in The Escape with the green gun because they all require at least the abilities of the yellow gun, so us speedrunners were looking for a way to get at least one cube into The Chase/The Escape for quite a while so that we could skip all of the puzzles in The Escape (you can just place a cube in the slot to your right when you first enter The Escape). Because of this, we were trying every possible method to get through the disintegrator field that is right behind the door marked "The End" at A Jump Too Far. What we found was that if the game lags, it skips frames and tries to correct your position accordingly (essntially allowing you to walk at the same speed at 30 fps vs 60 fps even though 30 fps would be lagging). We can use this to our advantage if we can consistently create lag. Eventually we figured out that making a large wireframe cube causes just enough lag to skip enough frames to get through this field. This was very machine-dependent though, it could cause more or less lag depending on how powerful your computer is and we didn't really like this method so we kept searching for another one. Apparenlty when the game is in fullscreen and you alt-tab out of and back into the game though, it causes lag while it tries to re-render what was previously filling the screen. We are now using this method to get through the field and keep cubes throughout The Chase and The Escape.
