"Many Paths to Nowhere" possibly bugged?
So, I found it impossible to solve this puzzle before I reset my savegame and started from the beginning, the correct solution just didn't work the first time.

I get that the puzzle is supposed to go like this:
1)You enter the hallway, you see red and blue stairs
2) Choose one stairway, a new sign appears on the right side of the wall saying something like "choose left or right"
3) Choose the other stairway, a new sign appears opposite the last sign saying something like "choice doesn't matter if outcome is the same" - now the exit is right behind you around the corner.

The problem I had with the puzzle was this: I had went through both of the stairways (multiple times even), but the state of the room never progressed to the third phase: the second sign never appeared and neither did the exit - no matter what I did, I were stuck on the room without any way to break the loop. After starting the game anew from beginning, I did exactly the same things as the first time, and the exit appeared just like it was supposed to do.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem as me, or have I just missed something important about the puzzle?

E: And if anyone wonders how I came to the decision of resetting the savegame when playing for first time: after running through the room for 15 minutes and fruitlessly trying everything possible, I decided to look for the solution on the internet. Looked it up, tried it, didn't help at all. And like I said before, the same solution worked perfectly after I resetted the game...

I just experience the same problem and I looked up the answer. Mine WOULD NOT spawn the correct answer to this puzzle. That's super frustrating AND very worrisome that I won't be able to complete the game if other stuff is just straight busted and not me being dumb. I ran around forever, nothing... deleted my game and started over? One pass and done.

LOL so you kept running up and down the stairs? Trying to exit?

Nope the game isn't broken. You just haven't found the exit yet

No, I looked up the solution. Straight up. The second panel refused to spawn, neither did the arrow.

I restarted the game and beat it first try.

This was not ignorance, this was a straight bug.

Did u try turning around? I ran loops around the stairs for awhile then decided to do a 180

He had the same problem as me: the exit doesn't ever appear where it should, and it only resolved after creating a completely new save. Then the exit appeared and it made it possible to proceed. It's not a matter of lacking the skill to solve the puzzle, the problem is that doing the correct solution never leads to the exit, as the exit just never comes to exist.

The correct solution is actaully to turn around and walk the other way. You're all forgetting that this is a computer game, where any kind of weird physics can happen :)

That's what I was saying, but supposedly I was wrong

Yea, I'm well aware what the actual solution again. For people that can comprehend this game, it seems like actually reading what I'm saying is difficult:

I watched a walk through. The exact solution. I am well aware you're supposed to "turn around," however the issue was the second help panel never appeared on the left wall and you were, quite literally, stuck in an infinite loop. There was no amount of quitting the game and going back in, approaching from different angles, or any other means of advancement.

Upon erasing my save and starting over the solution was solved in like 10 seconds. It worked as it should have. Therefore, upon first encoutering this puzzle, it was thoroughly bugged.

I'm all the way up to and past acquiring the third upgrade in the game. I'm not struggling too much with puzzles. This one was flat out broken.

Can't you relly comprehend what people are saying? Like I and Kbob said, we turned around, and the exit never appeared, no matter what we did. After creating a new save and DOING EXACTLY THE SAME THING, we were able to proceed. At least this puzzle is right at the start of the game, so if it glitches out it isn't that bad to restart the save.

Sorry to rez this thread, but this just happened to me as well. It was actually on my second playthrough. On my first play through I beat everything without looking anything up, and on the second playthrough, I beat everything except this room, and I saw that I hadn't finished it. Like the other posters said I ran around like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to find a solution, not remembering this room being difficult at all in my first playthrough. After watching a youtube vid I noticed that there were two signs in the hallway, and I could only get one to spawn. Then I saw this thread...

One difference though, unlike with what TheKbob said, I didn't have to delete my save. Simply exiting completely out of AntiChamber and loading back up fixed the glitch.

I eventually beat the game. Room was seriously bugged!

lol, I was confused by it too. and by solution do you mean turning around?

It's a fairly common bug. Us speedrunners run into it pretty often.

Basically the game missed a trigger somehow. The easiest solution to this bug (for the casual playthrough) is to just restart the game. Hold Esc until it closes, and re-launch it from Steam. The speedrunners solution is to reset though; restarting the game takes a while. xD

I hope it gets fixed :P And my mind melts at the thought of speedrunning this game.
