My Two Cents
Very promising! The ability to choose between grid-based and free-form building placement is a nice feature. The game also has a nice look to it. Out of a hope for the game to continue to get better, here’s the feedback that occurred to me in the first couple playthroughs:
- Scouting feels like busy-work. Obviously there’s some placeholders still in that system, but revealing all the “provinces” is very repetitive, without much payoff. Some random events would make it more interesting.
- There are a number of elements that weren’t clear to me. What do the watchtowers do? “Immigration Effect: Analyze Region” doesn’t tell me much. Maybe they have something to do with sending more travelers towards your settlement?
- Is there any reason to upgrade to the Communications Hub at this point?
- Why do the regions only produce meat as a food? I’m swimming in meat in the late game, but can’t do any farming outside my home region?
- It’s difficult to place additional shacks/residences because it’s hard to tell when it’s in the radius of a service building like a tab - would be great to have some kind of indication of that while building, like we get for wells or kaleyards. Also, residences only show icons for 10 occupants despite housing 12 (which is a pretty low increase, for the upgrade price/power usage). Do residents of residences have higher morale than of shacks? Seems like they should, or it would make sense to just build out more and more shacks.
- Balance-wise it seems there’s no reason to upgrade smiths that are producing tools or wire to metalworks, because there’s no increase in production or labor efficiency, but rather an increase in education requirements. I’d go through all the upgrades and make sure they’re worth the tradeoff. The coal plant is a big step change in how the game works - it would be nice to have more buildings like that.
- How low Workforce affects partly-staffed buildings bothers me, specifically how with some external factor instead, a half-staffed building produces no output, rather than say a quarter output or something.
- When you load a save, the background music takes a long time to come back on.
- Would love a “Continue” button on the main menu to load the most recent save.

I cannot get the entire production Metric behind T1 to T2 to T3.. I think it been suggested before we need to clearly see the Maximum possible output and what penalties the building is getting because I find I don't bother with higher levels other than when I need a specific resource as it is not a clear benefit, a smelter does not provide a scalable difference than a forge and so on.. I am pretty sure the production per day is borked I went from zero tin ore to swimming it in one time, it seems a little random and don't let me get started on random days when your coal power drops by 50%++

The communication hub no purpose for now but no doubt it is a roadmap item
Yes we need to do more with other regions, I want to be able to build farming hubs in other regions for example.
I believe better housing increases morale but you then go into a Rabbit breeding effect and your population runs out of control.

Mid-game questions are mid-game questions. Keep playing.

half the issues raised have nothing to do with the learning curve, dipsh!t. This game looks like they made EndZone and now need to re-skin it and re-release it to have some income.

Which is why I didn't address the statements and opinions.

I was going to try to answer the questions - but they all boil down to "keep playing".

Nice insult tho. Calling a complete stranger a rude name felt good, didn't it?

Huh, how did you get to that conclusion? Neither the developing studio nor the publishing company are the same between those games.
