A lot of these so called veterans are actually rather friendly to new players and do offer advice if they're asked. And if you really put some effort into it (like these players did), it is actually not too hard to catch up. The good players at this game could still improve a lot.

I'm lucky enough to have friends to play with, but I've tried multiplayer many times and I know eactly where you're coming from.

We're (mostly) friendly, with only a few trolls around (which have mostly left since it got boring for them here).

Forget those guys who do that. If a player does that, they likely have no skill, though they are shrouded in the illusion that they're the best at the game because they only defeat other level 100 "noobs" while kicking anyone with a lower level (and usually, anyone with a lower level is guarenteed to be better, from my observations).

Check out my series, some say, they helped. I'm not really covering much of the teamgames, and yes - pubstomping is a issue (and I'm playing ton of games, where the opposing lvl100's doesn't even have a chance of winning). But there are always beginners breaking off - the things is - you go, join up a recruitment team - whatever JGC/JA/TBN/dots/NU(?) - then you get to hang along with the pros, and you get good pretty quickly.

To solve kick problems - and to actually get into game, and not get hated - is easy - get cheat engine, boost yourself to lvl100, and set yourself to private profile, to friends only or something, so people can't see you have less than 500h. Then proceed to tilt your allies ingame.

Also, someone should solve the problem for grouping and friending actually - let's say under 200h guys.

That wouldn't have helped you with us. People were that smart before. We used to check people's profiles for their hours, mostly cos there are guys like red who's still got his level locked to 1 but everyone knows him and that he's got over 2000 hours, and he is also really good apart from that. So private profile, regardless of level -> kick. But go ahead, try your luck.

Get friends...?

Get over it. The game is old. I played this game like a year ago and had it for xbox 360 and im still bad at it but im not complaining. It's fun, so what if you lose everytime you go online. Get some friends to play with if you can't play online.

End of story stop crying because you suck :)

host your own lobbies thats the easiest way you are boss then and youll decide which players play and who wont just wait a bit and you will end up with a full lobby no big deal

of course you lose in the beginning it was the same for me but i loved ruse and it was fun so i kept trying i found friends and never lost my excitement about the game

concerning those lvl 100 "pro players" (veterans as you call them) .... most of them arent really good if you keep playing you will be better soon

and finally if you want any help just add me, join this group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/JARecruitment and add one of the admins they are experienced players who are able to give you some advice which will help you to increase your level/skill real quick

yes, this would be the best idea, but you can find this problem in every game, so dont worry, ;)

Nobody can learn this game, because everyone is already much better and are veterans at this game. You have to fight bots, but even then you cannot compete because the game has been out for so long new players simply cannot learn the game.

Everyone in this game are level 100's, premade teams and just know exactly what unit to make. They know exactly which op unit needs to be built.. When to send units, when to do anything. This game is also not very populated which also helps veterans always win. Because the game is so small, the chances of you meeting someone new are pretty slim if just hosting. the games matchmaking system is also dead, because using match making is pointless since everyone just hosts games now. Any tips? Or any critisism you can give?

This is true of most games that are getting on a bit. Surely you can catch up to at least a certain standard.

It's RUSE but it's not Chess.

Good advice. I'd also recommend studying actual history on top of watching the good players. Historical strategies are always fun to put into action!
