Found A legal method to buy R.U.S.E. Some precatuions.
Hello Everyone,

Last week I just bought R.U.S.E and got it added to my steam libary.

Before buying this great gem of a game, I did not know it was no longer sold on the steam store.

Or even sadly the lisence to keep it on the steam store expired.

However I have accdently found a soultion to buy legit copies outside of amazon [ but it is vitrual download].

Its Gamestop. For some reason that I cant really find out why or how they managed to have the game avabile to download, you can actuly buy it from their website for 10 us dollars and type in the code to add to your steam libary.

I also found they sell the dlc for this game as well. It does come with the nuke mode but not any other dlc if you buy the base game.

It is a minor money risk however, if you cant get the game to run successfully you can NOT refund it through steam through this method or game stop itself. I looked at game stops rules and it does not allow for refunds on games purchesed as ready to download.


The game once you get it running succesfully actuly is quite good :). I been playing the campain mode for now.



Also a final note on some minor trouble shooting I had to to.

I have windows 10 64 bit os, if it gets stuck on loading go the game file propierties [ its i think right click on the game and then access game files].

Right click once in the game files on the R.U.S.E .exe file and i think if im not mistaken [ I m sorry i cant remember if theres anthor menu within the menu :(] you will find run as administrator. Run the .exe as admin if it gets stuck on the loading screen.

You have to make a u play account, however its not the infamous drm just the annoying log in part.

I found out i had to reset my password to find out i was typing my user name for ubisoft and had a password that was wrong for the said username i had for my uplay account.

Oh and i found they even have the xbox 360 and ps3 edtion as well [ the dlcs for the consoles i do not know i only know for the pc edtion].

It is pretty generally known that you can buy it at sites like K i n g u i n, G2A, and Amazon. You can probably even find a copy in some Walmarts.

Has anyone tried this and knows if it works, even though it's pulled from steam?
I would love to gift my friends this game, but I dont want to slap down 3 copies and find out steam can't add something that "isn't there".

yes, you can play it, I bought it also afterwards from a different website, but I'm not sure this works for europe

All codes still work, even if the game isn't purchasable on Steam anymore.
