Not a lot of actual choice, but that's to be expected. Most devs/writers will settle for one route, and then a bunch of deviations at the ending. It's fun enough, and has good romance, albeit it bad structuring when it comes to the text.

I despise the small paragraphs.

They're really irritating. As you can tell by how I'm structuring this right now, they're also a mistake beginners make, but it's not a cardinal sin, unlike the writer using words other than 'said', that is a cardinal sin.

I once again stress that you barely have any choice other than romance. Yea, you can die, but only at the end. Yea, you can have the RO's die, but only at the end. Sure, you can romance the enemy, but-- YOU GET IT! There are no consequences (other a couple funny Easter eggs) before the ending. Your sister will act out of character to get you back on the train, situations will bend to get you back on the train, and you can't do anything about it.

It is understandable though. I've really been spoiled by SH, and am slowly getting used to the intractable novel. I also can't say that I haven't enjoyed it. The romance was great, the battles were good, and the broad story was acceptable. The story the writer wanted to write would've worked better as a novel.

That's all you need to know if you don't like spoilers, but if you don't care, or if you already know how the story goes, then here are a bunch of my nit picks.

You never feel powerful. You have a vile of the most powerful magic blood in existence, the thing that is meant to make you a myth, a legend, something people will be talking for eons about, and it does nothing. I am aware it gives you more mana, but other than that, it does nothing. There is no supercharged move you can pull off because of it, there is no feat of magic that looks like something a greek god would pull off, nonono, that would be too much to write apparently.

That was my biggest nit pick. There is just no way to feel like you're doing everything right. I really feel like you should've been able to save the sister with how she was acting. She wasn't entirely unreasonable. Like, yea, she was blood-lusted, but if you were supper cautious or overly prepared, the game should've rewarded you, perhaps not with your sister surviving unscathed, but with her still alive. I would've totally loved playing as the second fiddle to a furious empress who can't fight anymore, and would've saved the game from the third nit-pick I have.

Deus ex machina, a term that everyone knows. So, if the writer knows it, then why did they put a blatant example of one in it? Like... there's no explanation to it. The game itself disproves the theories of the only guy who knows stuff about magic. Not only that, but the dialogue does as well. You character can literally question it, and get no answers other than a shrug. Now, if your sister was still alive, then yes, you could have the magic guy do some infusion or something, or if you at least retrieve her corpse, because I would personally have that happen instead of what the game gave us, which was nothing.

Anyway, this game is still worth it. I personally still like it, and you will too. Just... learn to turn your brain off sometimes. Don't listen to the "critics" that say you have to think critically about everything. The romance in this is good enough to justify you ignoring some of the flaws. I mean, they're not called nit-picks for no reason.

I'm absolutely gagged. One of the best games I've ever played,,, and I'm not usually fond of text-based formats. The story is phenomenal and the romance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had to play the entire thing in one sitting. I cant WAIT to see what else the dev creates.
