Ok, Before you guys start flaming me, I think the archer class is important. And as history suggest, people of that era also hate archers, with a passion! so its a totally merited reaction to being shot down by archers.

I think we can all agree having a few good archers as your opponent can totally change the way you need to approach your objective. Thats the whole point isnt it?

I play the archer from time to time, and getting kills with the war bow is pure bliss.. :D
So remember, whenever an archer shoots you down causing you to launch your mouse toward your cat in frustration, its alright.. comfort yourself, take a few deep breaths, and accept the fact that, its is indeed a normal reaction. Only thing is that during medieval times you would be throwing your own spleen instead.. :P

The words 'Before you guys start flaming me' speaks to the audience you obviously want to attract. I believe you're talking to all the immature players who get angry when they die in a game.

'people of that era also hate archers, with a passion!'. Of course people in medieval times hated archers, they were, possibly, the most effective troops during those times. I think of British long bowmen and Mongolians. In game though the effectiveness of archers are reduced. They cannot run further than pursuers and also have melee penalties. No map in Chivalry I think is pro archer.

Just wait a couple seconds you will respawn. :) I have never understood why anyone would get mad at a game as heavily balanced as Chivalry. By the way its not a normal reaction.

This post is toward people that respond with pure hatred after being killed by archers... you can see it in the in-game chats saying "f*****g archers, stupid cowards!!" then get killed several more times.. their response? Not what most people will do, like changing their strategy in approaching archers but instead spamming vote kick.

In extreme cases, I had this guy change team and started tking me and all the other archers all while expressing on the in-game chat "die you f*****g archers, I hate you all! cowards!!"

My point is, archers are important, when you have good archers on your team, you never complain, but just wonder for a second why was that knight all bloody and died within 2 hits or that vanguard running away from battle to heal up when you clearly saw his intention to cut off your head just a few seconds before?

Quit complaining about archers, they are important and you dont complain about archers on your team..

I think the point of my post is to hopefully make something that is obvious to me and maybe many more, to those people that didnt have a clue about what they were complaining about and saying "ahhh I understand now" but still, fat chance..
