2.Some people who dont play with archer think bow = "fire" weapon, so if you want play with fire weapons go battlefield 3, lol, not my opinion.
*secondary weapons was not pathetic!
just have fun playing the game and dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about the opinions
Just have fun, who cares what someone else thinks.
2. player has no patience and coordination
3. player can't play archer and can't devote time to learn it
4. player repeatedly gets killed by archers
5. player now hates archers and wants them removed from the game
Plus they run when people get near
If only each class had some means of countering archer fire, such as smoke pots for vanguards, tower shields for knights, or heater shields and the abilty to dodge for MAAs.
That'd be awesome.
Respond with,
"Art thou Angered, brother?"
I mean, it's sad people cannnot just play the game and enjoy all classes, but I can't help but smile reading comments like this:
"Its because they shoot you from across map while you have epic sword fights which is ♥♥♥♥ing annoying and boring
Plus they run when people get near"
That pretty much sums up the view most real-life men at arms and knights had. Historically, archers were despised because their tactics were seen as cowardly. While a knight or even a man at arms would be spared and taken hostage, or held for ransom, archers were usually put to death right away. Even if they were allowed to leave the field, they usually had their bow fingers cut off first.
Crossbowmen were even more despised than archers: the Pope tried to ban the weapon several times as it was seen as too powerful and "un chivalrous" for warfare. In England, it was said for some time that only highwaymen and criminals had crossbows: any common man found in possession of a crossbow was deemed guilty on account of that alone, although yeoman were encouraged to keep long bows and become adept with them.
The French knights at Crecy were so disgusted with their own crossbow forces, that upon seeing them "retreat" from the English (even though withdrawal in the face of heavy infantry was about the only thing they could do) that they *charged* them and killed them indiscriminately.
