Changing the font of your game name
I've noticed a lot of players having cool cursive fonts and other symbols in their game name. How do you achieve that? Someone mentioned ot me to use window's Character Map but I don' think I'm doing it right.

People are just using special characters in their steam name. Chivalries expanding system supports most characters. However some games don't support some special characters. So while it may work for chivalry and you get a cool looking name it may not work for other games.

For example my current clan tag used to have a trademark sign in it. Until red orchestra 2 came out and it actually refused to let any of us play on servers. Most games however will just give you a default name or replace special characters with squares.

I see. But for the ones that are supported, how would you go about using them in your name?

I know how to use the character map. Is it as simple as just copying and pasting your name in wiht the font you want?

Just add the characters to your name in settings. If it's supported it will be shown in the game, if not you will see nothing in the worst case you will just be known as player(number).

Oh ok. So it won't show the font in my Steam profile but it will in game i take it. Assuming the font is supported.

You have to use the Tahoma font to do this. No other font will work.
