Cross Platform play now that it's available on consoles?

Just wondering if, now that it is releasing on the 360 and PS3, if we will be able to share servers with our console brethren much like Squeenix did for A Realm Reborn (not that they are remotely similar of course).

i dunno dude...

the console gamer is likely sitting in a sweet easy chair, feet propped up, cushions under their ass, probably has friends over watching on a big-ass 80" tv 120hz high-definition and a million other games stacked up from the surplus of funds they have left over after buying 2-3 consoles...

... sometimes i wonder if we PC gamers have lost another battle entirely... :\

Crossplay should be more common with the next gen, since their architecture is pretty much the same. Expect to play with PS4 but maybe not XBONE since MS doesn't like to share games to other systems.

You think MS is that dumb ? They don't want to share games from MS Xbox with MS windows ? I will tell you more Xbox already has crossplatform games. Anyway those console wars just stupid, silly, childish, they only care about the money basicly. It's why many buy a PC these days it's more advanced you don't get those silly console wars it's more advanced and 7/10 it's cheaper in general.

I'm just basing my info on street fighter 5. MS doesn't want cross play with ps4 so that game isn't going to cross play the x bone.

Shadowrun showed it wasn't very viable last Gen anyways. I wouldn't expect it for first person games.

Can you back that up ? With an article of MS saying they don't want that ? I have seen it many times on the internet the past days each time I ask if they can back it up I never hear of them again. I hope this time it will be different. So far as everyone with common sense knows Sony bought out Street Fighter V from Capcom to make it exclusive is what they love to do back in Japan there xd. With common sense I just mean like the major group I don't care about that game xd.

It was more internet hearsay anyways but I wouldn't be suprised if the 2 consoles wouldn't have cross platform play together to promote brands. Combine this with them having cross platform play to the PC and you get a situation where 1 system will be left out while the other 2 will have cross platform play since xbone and ps4 won't be together to play with pc.

Well there you said youself: "It was more internet hearsay" so I guess people with the common sense are right then xd. Situation is like this: Ooh hi Capcom do you want money ? Yes I do well here is ...million dollar ! Oh thanks, we will release an other version on xbox anyway. But for the thread no it isn't cross platform I think that wouldn't even be fair xd.

Unless they massively nerf the power of the keyboard&mouse against the controller(like adding in autoaim, mouse turns losing accuracy) shooting and games where turning fast is required just won't be balanced. I don't think those types of games will become crossplay. Fighting and racing games, however, seem like a good genre to implement it in.
