i'll explain in my own words here: it's basically a tactic where you "combo" a second swing, but instead of carrying it out, you feint, and then immediately parry.
which begs the question: why are people butt-hurt about it? well, it's a legit reason apparently. let's say you didn't combo that second swing -- you'd have this period of recovery time before you can actually parry (the consequences of missing). normally you'd get hit (especially in 1v2's), but with CFtP, you've just made yourself near-invincible.
that is the very definition of an exploit in my books. it completely negates an intended consequence missing an attack.
i'll watch for it next time i play. if it's patched out, i suspect there are a lot of upset players who feel it's justified to hack it back in somehow.
He is right tho specially with the last part. I don't get people who want to hack these days with VAC, see what it has done now to all of them. Detection is way better then it used to be and vac bans keep happening daily specially csgo is really the target now xd.
Its beyond stupid to say this game is unhackable...unless TB are some kind of coding genuises who can do what no other online game developers can do.....this is unlikely in the extreme haha
Its unreal engine 3 which is very very hackable. You just modify the base code for this game.
But then again ...really what can you do with hacks in this game?
aimbot
If you're an archer yes your aim will be great but not invincible and you can still dodge and shield from arrows..its much much more unreliable than an aimbot in a normal first person shooter
Aimbot use in melee weapons (targets to hit specific points)..hrmm well you can parry that and also dodge as well. So whats the point? The advantage isnt much not when you consider how powerful aimbots are in games like CS
So they only problems really are any the magic parry folk and speedhackers and i havent seen them for a while. As far as i understand it..(someone will come in and correct me im sure) if someone is moving fast than the model/or the animations allow then you will notice it in everthing they do (attacking, moving etc) It will be glitchy apparently...out of synch.
The magic blockers i dont like because they come out with a lot of bs saying its skill but how is it when you see them auto face multiple people and block perfectly each one...one or two they could reasonably see but not the ones they cant actually SEE. You cant really argue ohh their fov is very high to see all around them because each incoming attack comes in at different angles so you have to adjust parry for every single one...no way in hell was that legit that i saw him do..
.i know one high ranker 52+ who does this and i totally lost any "respect for his "skill" that i had (well as much respect as you can get in a video game haha)
and tbh if someone is like this in a game i will troll the **** out of them with a whole boatload of firepots and just general annoyance the entire game. (not breaking any server rules ofc)
Haven't replied on this forum for a while, neither have I played this game since last september. Flipping through the forums shows that I've saved myself the download time as it seems none of the major issues have been addressed anyway.
Cheat engine detected by VAC many have been VAC banned for using it, other programs that weren't detected by VAC and they got reported to us they are global permanent banned from the game. You will need to explain glitches and other exploits not sure what you mean with these. Talking about vids most are from like 2012-2013 all those things already VAC Ban detected or still we are there to give out the ban. It's simple hack in chivalry 75 % of the times these days you will be perm banned by us or a VAC Ban. I was watcing 4 people they recieved their VAC Ban 2 days ago was some kind of new thing I think.
Example of a few glitches and other exploits
People lagging on purpose or using other programs to lag hit/teleport around in arena or desync their hits so you get hit like 2-3 seconds before their swing animation. Worst case I remember thought it was just me until everyone including even the server admin got suspicious and got fed up with him. guy had like 60-2 score.
Glitching outside map borders or places youre not supposed to be in. Can be fun but it got old fast when kept getting hit by ballistas in FFA stone village place by glitchers on walls, slingers shooting at you from sky/map walls, and people glitching into each other team's spawn and ganking respawners.
Also people behind walls, underground, or inside structures you're not supposed to get in. Found number of players that said this was skill and not glitching, reasoning being because some of those areas are within game borders and how hard it was to master (especially ballista and spawn zone ones).
Unstable games past +48 players, etc.
The first thing you talk about that is VAC Detected was also talking about that those 4 people did that and all VAC Banned. People getting out of the map and behind things you can't expect a map working 100 % on release people actually waste their time going to each little area searching for a thing to exploit which is good, because it just get fixed by an invis wall etc. There aren't many servers who can hold +48 players I think that is more of your own risk of playing on those servers you need to know more people playing on a server more chance for lag etc.
lol I doubt u do either m8, you downloaded some1 elses code does that mean you know how to hack or are you just another loser using some1 elses hack. Any idiot can google how to hack any game it really doesnt make you clever unless you think being able to read makes you clever.
No offense but if its nearly 2 years after I bought game and people are still glitching same maps and spawns using same methods then that excuse isn't good enough. And if you're wondering "well why didn't I just post on TB's forum instead", well I did. Others did. Last I remembered it was largely ignored or downplayed.
Mostly ignored.
For the server instability I was told it was poor netcode and usually had nothing to do with the people hosting. There were no exceptions, ALL servers suffered from this. In contrast- MnB has servers averaging 160-200 people without so much as a hiccup. Any time I started to chug, it wasn't my connection tanking, it was almost always fps issues due excessive smoke/particles (my fault I have older build) or whatever.
Mount and blade hasn't the same gore as chivalry hasn't the same kind of animations you only have simple low texture no gore low animation quality there MnB isn't made to look good and play good it's a game made to have fun with low textures that's known and will always be like that, once you have a mod and have everything on max big chance you just crash I don't say that game isn't good there was already a discussion about this.
Also i'm curious about which maps you are talking about and which exploits. Add me for that and please tell them I will report them to the devs so they can be fixed. To add more I give you a chance to tell them to me, if you don't then it was your own choice to leave the exploits there or there are none at all, but I hope you will report them all it's simple to just get them fixed instead of people abusing it.
Sorry, but if this is seriously the first time you've ever heard of such a thing then I'm even less inclined to subject myself to another ~6.7gb downloading and reinstall just to point at elephants in a room. Last I checked it was quite common so you might be able to dig up some threads about it back at the TBS forums.
As for maps I don't remember the exact names but I do remember almost all of them had this problem. Especially stonehill or whatever (sneaking into spawns and ballistas), the other one where you push the disease cart into the water (glitching on top of map edges and spawns), the throne room FFA (glitching behind the gate, underground, behind walls), the beach attack one (spawns), and that open field one where most used to do FFA. I haven't played since 2013 so I don't know any of the new maps.
Was just using MnB as an example. On that subject cmw itself doesn't exactly dazzle in that department either. Judging from the same exaggerated/sloppy fight mechanics and rampant no clipping, cmw clearly wasn't made to play good either. Nor does the ability to watch this mess play out on HD pass it off as a "superior" game. Like MnB its just another "bargain bin" steam title, a notable difference being that having 64 players in a cmw match is enough to bring the server to its knees.
