How do i get new weapons?

Guys, this may be a dumb question but i still don't understand the weapon system of chivalry? The game says I have to take part in community activites sooo... that's what i'm doing right now. Where are my weapons? :D

Weapons are split up into classes. For example, knight's primary weapons are axes, swords, and hammers/clubs. This continues their secondaries with blunt and swords. To unlock the next weapon in the class just get kills with any weapon in that class. To get the second weapon get 50 kills with that class of weapons and for the third weapon get an additional 50, to total 100 kills. You do not need to use the second weapon to continue getting unlocks, you can still use the first one. Just because the weapon is unlocked later on does not mean it is better. For example, the spear is often regarded as a lot better than the fork due to having more damage. The broadsword is also considered better than the falchion even though the falchion is unlocked later.

You can change weapons in the class select screen. Press those squares at the bottom of each class to choose a weapon. You do not switch weapons in the customization menu. Many beginners forget this so I'll make it clear, do not go to the customization menu to switch weapons, go to the class select screen.

The customization menu is where you can change the skins for your weapons, IIRC.

Well, at least they're locked, so how do you unlock these customizations? (btw) Paying real cash or...?

I'd also like to know. Every single item in the customization menu for me says locked at the bottom.

Ok, it no longer says locked, but now anytime I pick something, it won't stay. Is the only way to have anything other than the default weapon to pay real money?

The things you pay for are just skins that change the appearance of in-game weapons.
Here is where you actually select what weapon you want to fight with:

You do need to 'unlock' weapons (you start with 1st one of each weapon type unlocked) but that is just by getting kills. There are no weapons that you need to pay for to use.
