Protip: There is this amazing site called google, you might not have heard of it, but it's really something you should give a try.
In this case a classic duel server runs in the FFA game mode but you are only supposed to duel. Not randomly Attack everyone.
Even though the maps are FFA, some community servers use them as a "Duel Yard". It will usually be on the server title just before you join. If you're still unsure, you can type in game and ask other players what's going on.
On the other hand there are the official servers where people usually stick to FFA unless they all band together and decide to stick to dueling. This isn't against the rules but votekick abuse is, so don't hesitate to contact us in the Chivalry Mod Group right here: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/chivserveradmin
The map says "FFA_Duelyard". When you spawn into the map, a big white letters prompt appears in the middle of your screen saying "This is not FFA. Please bow to initiate duels with other players".
Admittedly most high level players will just work around new players who are RDMing, because they are easy to kill. However if you are getting kicked for "RDM", it is because you are interrupting peoples' duels on a dedicated duels server. Just bow with your mouse when you walk up to someone, they'll bow back, and your duel begins. It's simple.
So it's 2023 and I just learned of this new thing called Google. Amazing! I used it to find out what the hell RDM means, and I found this post! Thanks kjrisinger02 for not using google!
