Why does Mason order seem more popular?
Yup, that's the question. Somehow Mason guys seem to be more popular. Could it be because of more disinguishable heraldic colors (Blood makes noobs think you're a mason warrior if playing on Agatha), or just the general "Badass" thing that especially the knights have going on? Cooler armor?

I don't care which side I'm on in games, and the both factions have their own good and bad things. Just wanted to hear other's opinions.

from my experience i think the mason have more barbaric insane like killer voices and just have that vibe to slaughter everything -DREAD NAUGHT RAIN SUPREME- but eh, i like both too, i like the mason knight dreadnaught armour most, and the arbiter agatha vangaurd most though as i generally play knight and use the hammer of thor, i play mason

I have been wondering if Mason is more popular too. I myself prefer Agatha if I can choose. It's an interesting question and I wonder if it is indeed more popular, why is it that way? If that can be answered at all.

Looking at the few comments we've had, looks like Mason dudes are more entertaining to play as. I like their ferocity too, but Agathans have also their funny moments. Like the Knights' overly-noble-holier-than-thou attitude.

Before the war, Malric Terrowin was the General of the Agathian army. In 1263, he formed the Mason Order as an military elite. It was originally to be an order within the Knight army, as an deadly force, handpicked and trained by Malric himself. He intended to use it to bring glory to Agatha through conquest, however it wasn't to last. In 1266, King Argon invaded the land of Tenosia, calling it a Crusade while intending to 'liberate' the country. The conquest went terribly, as the Knights had trouble adapting to the heat of the southern continent, while the Tenosian Knights, well acclimated to the arid weather, moved swiftly in light chain armor and decimated the Agathian force by the time they reached the capital of Jaburdan.

Sometime during the war, presumably while fighting in Jaburdan, King Alfonso Argon was killed in battle. The Agathians scattered everywhere, not knowing what to do. The Masons within the Agathian Army, however, rallied under Malric, who called all his men to follow him home. Once they reached the shores of Agatha, the Masons told the people that Argon had led the Agathian soldiers to defeat and that a Tenosian counter attack was imminent. Quickly, the Masons spread horrid lies about the Argons, denouncing them as warmongers and thieves. By September of 1266, the Masons had taken over Agatha with no resistance, as the bulk of the Agathian fighting force was in Tenosia.

The Knights did eventually make it back, after finding that the King's heir, nephew Danum Argon was alive, and fit to lead the army with General Feydrid Kearn at his side. But when they approached the shore, they were met by the Mason soldiers of the new regime, who denounced them as traitors for supporting Danum and not Malric. And so started the Agathian Civil War. Malric was declared as the new King by the Masons, being a distant cousin of King Argon, and was aided by his General Sir Teach, as the two of them ruled from a Citadel on the top of a volcano.

The Mason Order, also known as the 'Iron Fist' or simply 'The Order' is a newly founded faction, led by the former Agathian General Malric Terrowin. The Masons claim that they seek to rebuild the lands, to make the people of Agatha harder and stronger. After the disastrous invasion of Tenosia and the death of King Alfonso Argon, Malric used the Order to take control of Agatha, gaining support from the peasantry due to Argon's unpopularity and the fear of a counter-invasion by Tenosia. They believe that the ends can justify any means and things, often people, must occasionally be sacrificed for the greater good. The Mason Order has largely gained favor with the lower class citizens, "the people" as they put it, but the rest of the nobility lies in opposition with King Danum Argon as is the only way they keep their lands and title. For some, the Mason Order brings hope of a changed land, a fair land free from tyranny of greed. For others, the Mason Order brings only meaningless death and destruction as they do not hesitate to vanquish any who oppose them.

Mason Creed

Glory is death by the sword.
The weak shall serve the strong.
A mans worth is judged by his competence.
You keep what you kill.
Change is necessary for improvement.
Mercy on the battlefield is a trait of the weak.
Of anybody who stands against the masons will be hanged, drawn and quartered, or induceted to slavery.

Kill Them! Kill Them All..!!! For the Order!!

The Agatha Knights are one of two factions in the game. The Knights are the soldiers who are still loyal to Danum Argon, King Alfonso Argon's nephew. They fight Malric and the Mason Order, hoping to keep peace and stability within Agatha. The Agatha Knights are also known as "loyalists", and are made up of mostly royalty and nobility, people who once owned most of the lands and peasants before civil war, and who are distraught by the war at home's effect on trade and matters of economy. Late in the war, though, King Danum used the growing might of the army to persuade many peasants and barbarians to take up arms against the Masons.

The Agatha Knights believe in the concepts of nobility and being just in one's actions, though greed and corruption exists within those with power. On the battlefield, Agatha Knights bring the notion of honor and chivalry almost to the extent of losing logic and reason. Many men who agree with their ideals and have been driven away by the Mason's ferocity against peasants have joined Agathian levies along with the knights and nobility.

The Knights are led by two people; Steward Feydrid Kearn, who ruled in place of Danum Argon while he was on the battlefield, and the aforementioned Danum Argon, rightful King of Agatha. As well, Sir Finnian Guld and the Man-at-arms Foxfingers are commanders of the army, with Finnian becoming General of the Army after Kearn's death at Stoneshill.

Agatha Knights Principles

Respect your superiors.
Die with valor.
Fight with honor.
Defend the weak and innocent.
Act in the best interest of your king and countrymen.
Praise the gods for all they give us.
Give mercy if asked for.

Lets be honest and say, because they are not corrupt elitists, they are the real thing, pricks or not, but mostly because they have better taunts and overall cooler armour :P
