why is everything in this game so hard?
i am constantly in servers with 23 level 100 players, all who constantly destroy me in seconds. the blocking and attacking system is way too confusing and i get killed while trying to block while looking at the enemies weapon. i am constantly getting teamed up on by three players who all kill me in one hit. i end up on the scoreboard with 0-15 in my KDR. basically, this game shares a lot of problems with mount and blades multiplayer. now if you have a defense for one or all of these reasons of why i dont like the game, you can tell me why. i dont hate the game, i just hate the experience

Best advice I can give is to go to duel servers. That way you can practice 1v1, and might even find people willing to stop and teach you.

the problem is, there is no one of my skill level there, so i am always getting one shotted by pros

Ask them for help. You won't always find cool people, but if you are persistent you will eventually. All it takes is some training with a skilled player to up your game drastically.

alright, ill try that

I'm in the same boat, I looked up tutorials and started to practice but I'm still not amazing. You can learn how to perform the "Matrix", "Reverse Overhead" and other advanced tactics but any way to avoid or counter getting ganged up on has thus far eluded me.

You gotta pick your fights wisely, don't go in with no teammates or into a fight where you can be easily overrum. Running is also always a valid option, use their numbers against them too. They can hit and kill each other or plain just body block each other allowing you more time to escape. You also use your ripostes (fast swing immediately after parry) to hit a target you are not looking at, you swap targets and try to kill quick. Most people don't think you see them if you aren't looking at them, which you can use to your advantage.

I was experiencing the same, but after 100 hours in duel servers. I finally can do everything, and i can block most of the hits.
That has nothing to do that i find dragging ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, i know how to do it, but it doesnt makes sense at all.

You don't need to get stuck in a duel server to pick up those exploiters and toon players.
bad habits and nasty ways to cheaply win.
Its an act tbh. The minute they leave those and infect T/O you see the true colours of
the exploiting toons imo.

Try to play for the team. Stick to objectives, don't roam about on the mobile phone
If you see 2 or more team mates slicing up the mason beef , don't join in ,simply
get to the your main forces, usually by the objective. Esp the veterans and rankers.

Even if you don't want to use your so called exploits you still need to learn how to deal with them. If you want to play objective game with no "exploiters"I suggest single player game is more suited you.

tbh it's more like you're noob and exploits is just an excuse for your terrible k/d and lose every duel.

Nobody said anything about exploiting as you call it. I don't buy into the idea that those moves are exploits anyway, but that's not the topic of this thread. There is a lot more to learn than just a few cheap moves.

To really master this game you need someone you can practice with 1v1. That way you can test how the models move, how to manipulate the hitboxes and tracers, how to use footwork, etc. Pub team games and even FFA don't give you the kind of pacing and control you need to break these things down through practice and repetition.

Even another new player willing to experiment/practice with you will get you a long way. A skilled player who already knows all this stuff will get you there a lot faster.

Chin up, OP old bean. Maybe someone here can give you a bit of training.

Definitely a steep learning curve in this game. Takes a long time to train and hone the old reflexes (not like an FPS game, nor is it like other melee games, so old skills are more or less non-transferable).
Bullet1968 Aug 3, 2015 @ 7:16am
Nothing beats a good ribbing of the duellers tbh. I've never tried this mode, after seeing
a few waltdisney movies on a duel server it was not for me. The fact is op you can learn
how to deal with all that from playing the game frequently, even in T/O mode you learn.
They are not my exploits but the plebs on crutches who are weak gamers tbh.
Why I might even consider training the op to be a master who stands on his
own merits in combat with no tricks at all involved.

woot no xilivvilon no glassfan or other of those shining chivalry stars telling the ppl to learn those exploids
wtf
they must be on vacation or something

Here is a good way to train. Play TO. Do nothing but be knight with heavy shield. Your job would be to keep your guys alive and sacrifice yourself to keep them alive. Use your shield to block the enemy and let the enemy crash your shield exposing his flank for your team mates. Learn how to protect your own guys, and keep them alive. Protect your archers. Be as much part of your team as you possibly can. Learn when to get out of the frey and heal. Use prcise siwngs and learn combo. Build a mental map in your head of the players and batleefield.

This game has the steepest learning curve in gaming, but it is SOOO satisfying to figure it out. If you want to learn this game, go to FFA servers. FFA teaches fast-paced group fighting techniques. You learn to watch your back (Literally) and stab others' backs. You wlll die A LOT, but you'll look like Braveheart after that time.

Just keep practicing. This game is NOT easy. One thing I do in group fights is to spread out damage. Run around and don't fight one person at a time. Make sure you aren't in the middle of the fight and hit the person closest to you. Then move to the next person. Ultimately, your enemies will die of attrition since you keep damaging their health. And always hit the person you AREN'T targeting. Hit the guy on your side that thinks you don't see him. THEN hit the guy you first targeted. Stealth and the element of suprise are powerful in this game.
