Unless thing changed (I just uninstalled not long after making this topic), I had literally -one- server (the fight club) with good ping, when it was alive.
Thats it. The rest was 100+. At peak hours in the weekends there was a BIT more.
All that while 32 players low rank servers taunt me with thier fun and giggles. My favorite list of servers is nothing but high ping, all from Europe (since I'm in Quebec, some aren't TOO high above 100, but they are all above 100).
Its not an exaggeration. I can't deal with Us West servers either (most are worse than Europe in ping for me), so its all East, which is where the low rank servers cannibalize the player-base.
So don't excuse this crap. Its a true plague. Its literally stopped my playing completely. Stop excusing it and talking as if some people can't read their server list.
I know what is available to me, its not debatable, we have nowhere to play, because of this. Period.
Isn't this the reason for most complaints in most all games? Community whines and cries about something, get what they wish for, cry louder because they didn't know what they where talking about all along.
I'd say the game that suffers the most from this would be Payday 2.
To be clear, you can see all the servers but they are empty, right?
This is absolutely correct.
It seems that every low-ping East Coast server is a 1-15. It's one thing that they implemented low-rank servers that just cause the new players to get a false perspective on what it's actually like to play this game. Once they're out in the big leagues, they encounter drags, reverse OH's, floor sniffers and the like and most quit because their immediate thoughts upon seeing this stuff are "Wow this game is plagued with cheaters, guess I'm gonna find something else." and they quit without attempting to learn more about the game. But, that coupled with the fact that any player level 16 and above in the east US is forced to play on 100 ping servers makes an incredibly toxic situation that really just isn't worth the 10 minute effort to find a suitable server. Low-Rank servers were a bad idea to begin with.
But seriously, who was the genius that decided to (nearly) make an entire region of servers level locked? And the east US no less. Winters coming fast, all we can do is game. lol.
Needless to say, I don't get to play this game very much. With all these limitations the devs allow server owners to enforce, they might as well be telling every US player that doesnt like 24/7 FFA to uninstall. Level restriction and the harsher archer limit servers have probably singlehandedly caused hundreds if not thousands to uninstall. And after the unwarranted and poorly thought out archer nerf, I joined them.
Now I feel like coming back, but when I do there will be nothing but archer banned 32 player ffas filled with those who treat the game like an e-sport. Maybe, just maybe i'll be pleasantly surprised though.
tbh there are really lots of green servers and mostly they are populated well, but I can't say there is any lack of normal servers in EU or US.
btw, I'm guess there's a way to illegaly lower your rank through game files or some soft (never bothered myself so I'm not sure), seen some reports of players wrecking havoc in low ranks, those are naturally can't be under 15 rank, aye?
some scrublords do that
