How to be a pro
Okay guys, I've seen a few times that some players were so pro they killed everyone they faced with unless they were a group of 5-6people.

Here's my questions:

1) How to dance like a ninja?
There was this godlike player LGBrute, he was in the middle of a 5 people group, he danced like a ninja and noone could hit him, then he killed each of them one by one, how is this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ possible?

2) How to swing the sword like a chopper copter?
Some players swing the sword like a helicopter on their heads. How to do this?

3) How to dodge?
My MAA wont use dodge, idk why but the button wont work, is it a timed button that i should press just before an attack or do i got a problem on my own?

1) footwork- you want to engage one player while the other one(s) keep trying to run in order to get close to you (try to get the enemy to be between you and a different enemy.
target switching - parrying someone and riposting into a different enemy.
and of course :
skill- you need to be good at parrying and dragging....

2) helicopter are people who use lmb and have high sensetivity or 3rd person (which also allows you to move your mouse a bit faster). just parry and riposte (or duck if you want to get greedy, and just hit thrm while they are in recovery). it might be harder if you are using a weapon with lower range but still manageable. also if its in team something (deathmatch, objective) you can always run away and wait for numbers

3) you can dodge whenever you want. i think by deafult pressing v dodge backwards (you can dodge in any direction), try changing the setting of dodging (one button or whatever)

Note that you can't dodge while sprinting.

Hi and welcome to Chivalry. I wrote a guide that can help you get some training, but I can answer questions, here, too.

Mostly, being able to take on multiple opponents takes a lot of practice, situational awareness, and a good understanding of the game & mechanics.

Learning when to apply any particular attack or tactic takes a lot of practice and is difficult to explain to someone with a lot of in-game experience and very difficult to explain to someone new. There are a lot of possibilities for how any fight can unfold and it takes a while to build up your fighting instincts to learn what works and what doesn't.

Spinning with a weapon requires a few particular weapons and some practice to first learn how to do it, then learn when to do it. You'll find that many Vanguard or Knight weapons can be swung, then dragged around in either a complete 360 or close enough.
Adjusting your mouse sensitivity does not let you turn/spin faster while attacking; the game has a turn-speed limit that prevents players from performing 1080 spins while they are attacking. Increasing your sensitivity only means you don't have to move your hand as far on your mousepad, which is recommended since you may run out of mouse room while trying a 360 drag.
The secret is to move your mouse at the same speed as the turn cap. This will take some practice, but I've heard it described as "try spinning slowly to spin fast."

Turning on your weapon tracers will help. Open the console with the tilde key (` located above Tab) and type aoc_drawtracer 1. Red tracers will show the damage portion of your swing. Try to make a complete circle with them.

You can practice any of this stuff in a local match with bots (Create Game option) or in a server running the Duelyard map. These servers are where a lot of experienced players practice and trade techniques, so be polite when you're there and you can find some help.

I usually play Man at Arms and there's some things about Dodge that you should know;

You should only dodge when there is an advantage to be gained. Dodging when an opponent is not within weapon range or not attacking does not gain you anything and you waste 20 stamina that you should have saved for the fight. You are better off using your sprinting footspeed in most situations rather than dodging. As mentioned before, it will take practice to learn when it's a good time to dodge or not.

You CANNOT dodge while;
  • Attacking
  • Sprinting or while holding the sprint button
  • Crouching
  • if you have less than 20 stamina

Here's what dodge CAN do;
  • Dodge in any of the 4 basic directions
  • Forward dodges are more useful for running away or doing something unexpected than for moving in for an attack
  • You can steer your dodge by moving your mouse; this means that you can side-dodge around an opponent's side (useful for dodging thrust attacks)

I hope some of this helps.

I've noticed they do a lot of work just by moving in and out.

I know explaining this is hard but I can't find a good video about it :( I'm not completely new but I'm having trouble understanding the game mechanics. I am rank 16, and i sometimes do things that surprise myself but generally i get killed :D

I will check out the guide and see what I can get from that. And thanks again for the spinning tips I will try that too.

For dodging, i didn't know i had to move to a direction in order to dodge, I thought the character would magically dodge the attack by calculating the angle of the incoming attack :D

And as a final question I want to ask if I can dodge just by crouching and looking at the ground in front of an incoming attack? I had several cases in which I evaded some attacks by doing this, but if the opponnent aims down he will surely hit me which is not what I want. Is this a good way of "dodging" or would you guys not recommend this so called technique?

We've all been in exactly that situation. Knowledge and practice is the cure!

Try TheColonialStar's Youtube channel; he's got some good videos on dragging.

You can look down at the ground and dodge, but you can't Crouch (via the Ctrl key) and dodge.
You probably shouldn't need to dodge like this unless you're hoping to evade multiple incoming attacks. Watch the video I linked above for more MAA tips ;)

You can learn a lot by loading up a local game and just trying stuff with the tracers or movement. You can add some bots to keep it interesting, but they're just bots and don't know how to fight properly.

What sucks, and this applies to all games, is when you can play, but you have a bad game or two and high levels assume your just a nub if you're not above rank ten. Nothing we do about morons though.

I was sure sensitivity had nothing to do with it cause of the turn cap.

You are correct. I mentioned turn-speed caps in my first post in this thread.

Just remember, people doing reverses are not doing for the sake of it, it's one of the best combat techniques in the game. There is no point doing it if you don't know how to land it, I've been in duels where people try doing those with me while I'm standing a fair distance away wondering '..........um' before combing him into my reverse.

Well I am a veteran Knight who never judges lower ranked players on the battlefield.
do you really believe that for example had I slayed you in a game , I'd be actually thinking
he must be a newbie or a bad player...? Not a chance in hell tbh, I am very respectful to
all players esp new ones in the game. its better to actually have players to fight then
empty servers you see., , respectfully I say that tbh

From my experience when playing FFA e.g. you have to team up against players whose lvl way lower then yours and constantly abuse rainbows drags matrix etc as much as you can. This is what it means to be a pro this craphole of a game. Also spamming random bull sh1t about f*gs gays ♥♥♥♥♥ and stuff like that using the ingame chat is strongly recommended.

You don't need a high sensitivity or 3rd person for spinning, that's a common misconception.
Just move your mouse slowly and consistently.
