Is there a mode to fight without gore?
I was thinking about playing it with a friend that can't take blood/gore/decapitations/kills etc. (on a psychological level > he's in mid treatment for an anxiety related problem, but likes medieval games).

Not really.

The closest you can do is set ragdolls=0 (which removes enemies as soon as they die) and Turn blood decals off, which removes blood splatter from the floor and walls.

However hitting a person will still leave bloody marks on them

The setting for gore=1 etc., in the udksettings.ini has no effect.
