Free to Play
Can't they just make this game free to play already, this is one of those fun to play with friends kind of games but it's just so dead that no one wants to buy it anymore. I have already bought this game a couple years ago but I would be perfectly happy with them making it free to play.

It doesn’t seem like a good idea as there have been other threads regarding this specific matter in the past. Free to play will allow globally/game banned users to create as many Steam accounts as they want in order to avoid their ban on the accounts they’re banned. Which means there would be plenty of rulebreakers, hackers of any kind 24/7. In some aspects, free to play would increase player activity but I doubt the game will last as long considering Chivalry has been out since 2012.

I don't see 7 years all that long nowadays though, you get lots of games that have been out for ages and are still going strong such as CS GO that came out in 2012 and is still one of the most popular Steam games.

It goes on sale at 85% off about 6 times a year. You can pick it up for a few dollars, or buy a few copies for your friends. I have bought 3 copies of chiv for friend IRL, none have really stuck with it, Chiv is not for everyone.

But the increase in hacking simply wouldnt be worth it.

Games like CS:GO are still on top because they've adapted to the market and kept up the pace. It's like Heroes of Newerth and League of Legends - one game's just a relic of the past with only the most hardcore fans still playing it, while the other made numerous changes to stay on top.

Thats not a big problem, since the Admins obviously HWID tracks those banned players.
