Is it worth it to buy Chivalry: Medieval Warfare in 2021?

I wanted to buy this game because it looked very nice mechanically
but since it is a 2012 game I was wondering if there were still so many players in the lobbies to make the games much more lively and interesting

Chivalry 2 is about to come out today on another platform and will be available on steam next year.
imo you should probably get Chivalry 2.

Buy it on sale, maybe, but Chivalry 2 released today as already mentioned. What little player base was left on Chivalry will at least be migrating for a few months. Unless the game is good and the migration may be permanent.

might as well go to Mordhau. last i tried starting this game up it didn't even start up.

and if you're in asia, all the more reason to avoid this game: the asian servers have been desolated for years

Chivalry 2 is better than Mordhau. Chivalry 1 is better than both.

You may have missed the Chivalry 1 window if you haven't played by now. Goldeneye was great on the N64, but I wouldn't recommend picking it up today.

Go for chiv 2, a guaranteed better choice then the first, Interactive af and visually stunning.

just had to add this guessing haven't played the leaked goldeneye remaster for xbox 360(bean is the name). i do get what your saying but dame bean is amazing

Also, I would amend my previous comment to say this: Chivalry 1 is better than Mordhau and Chivalry 2, imo. There are still people that play Chiv 1 (not many, but enough for a server) and, as such, it is still worth buying in 2021.

By the way, Chivalry 1 and the DLC Deadliest Warrior are both on sale at 80% off. Steam Summer Sale.

However, not sure how easy it is to find Deadlist Warrior DLC online matches.

I guess you can always use bots if you're willing to enter some console commands.
