Haven't played the game in a while. Wanted to play it again. And barely 500 people playing it. The game had a stable playerbase for about 5 years. And it almost died in about 1 year. What happened?

Still multiple US servers up all day everyday. Sure, the glory days are gone, but there's always meat for the grinder.

After the devs stopped supporting it to make mirage which flopped incredibly hard, most people have moved on.

The one update about three years ago that reinstalled the FPS cap and made the game heavier to run in addition to not adding much else
didn't help either I guess.

I can't speak for everyone, but I can tell you why I stopped playing. I tried to pick the game back up today, but I just couldn't play it because of this. I can't get my head around dragging. It's just not fun to constantly be ganked by "not an exploit." This entire game's balance is based on telegraph and reaction. A good dragger makes it nigh impossible to react, at least for me. I know a lot of people will say I'm just b itching, but it really does ruin the game for me. No matter what TB says, it's obvious this technique isn't in the spirit of how the game was originally meant to be played. Anyway, there's my two cents. Bring on the hate.

The reason people play the game is because skill is rewarded, the whole selling point of the game was real time swings, meaning the people who know how to use it are going to be rewarded lol you're supposed to trick out your opponent not just swing normally and hope he misses a parry..

I still love this game I got back on it after a year and its still a stress reliever for me kill kill and kill.................if they make a new one with better graphics and more ♥♥♥♥ im down
