A good tactic to wipe a single enemy is a full up drag with the alt OH while youre running up to him, if it connects spin to kill.
edit: It's a lighter maul, heavier than the messer, about the same strength as the double axe but with the speed of slightly below the poleaxe.
Please bear in mind I am a complete noob and all of this could be wishful thinking.
After doing some testing with walls and different weapons, I came to the conclusion that, amongst the two handed weapons, the grand mace could probably have, the fastest accelerated attack!
As long as you place any weapon to hit an enemy in the precise momment it starts swinging, they all hit with pratically the same speed, as they travel allmost zero distance to impact (there is still a very small distance!). The only pratical difference in the attack speed being the wind up time of each weapon.
Measuring that speed by comparing the grunt and the impact sounds (as well the click of the mouse), under the conditions that match the fastest accelerated attack, the grand mace seems to hit allmost in the same momment the "grunt" sound is made.
The maul had a similar result but its wind up time is considerably larger.
Could it have a "bigger" tip? I think its hitbox is larger and for that reason it travels a smaller distance than blades and weapon tips with "lesser mass".
Its reversed overhead is a beast as the same applies to the wind up arc!
And if its a riposte, without any wind up time at all, its the clear winner!
It should be called "the facehug slayer" hehe.
Cool huh?
