Campaign feel very trial and error
Did a couple of skirmish map, but you gotta play campaign to unlock hero.

So I tried a bit, chapter 1 and 3 were fine, but 2/4 really feel like you have to divine what the dev intended playtrough was like to do much.

2 is at least linear, but 4 you have no way to know whats the "correct" way is and if you go the wrong way, you get hit by massive army in ambush. Even if you win them, losing a few units means next fight will be that much harder, leaving you in a downward spiral. It feel like the intended way to play is to just reload the auto save after every "mistake". And without knowing where the refugee are and what path the enemy army will take, you can't really B line the correct one.

HI meiam,

thanks for sharing your feedback and sorry that you feel frustrated. If there's any guidance you need: feel free to let us know. Many maps have been discussed here in the forums - so I'm pretty sure you can pick up some tricks how to solve them by using the search function.

For map 04: you don't need to find the refugees. But if you want: there's a guide also on steam: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3369019471

The campaign doesn't really improve and was eventually what drove me to write a negative review. Mission 7 combines the worst aspects of 2 and 4 - limited resources/units, stealth and a timed segment :)
(and throw in an instant lose mechanic if you mess up the stealth!!!)

The guide the devs linked for Chapter 4 is good. I followed it to complete it. But it wasn't a great feeling having to follow a guide to solve their chapter 4 optional quest puzzle since there isn't really any hint or guidance on how to do it naturally. Funny that they say "you don't need to find the refugees" but it's literally a condition to unlocking a character.
