Loot Wagons & Retreating Armies

Loot Wagons
Having watched a couple of game play videos on Youtube, I am beginning to wonder if I have encountered a bug. Although I have moved an army into a city that belongs to my faction, the loot wagons still remain in the army. Could someone please explain to me what should happen?

Retreating Army
I defeated an opposing army that retreated, however when I tried to attack that army with another of mine I cannot engage it. Whilst I can move to be adjacent to the army, when the cursor moves over it, a hand holding blade pointing down dagger appears. Once again, could someone lease explain to me what is happening?

Hi Bladeheart.
The lootwagon has to be brought not just into any location of yours, but a realm, which you can recognize by looking like e.g. a small castle, or your capital.
The dagger symbolizes that you can still attack and even ambush that army. Ambushing an army causes the ambushed army to be in disarray and even being stunned for several seconds after the battle started.
