Debuffs are your friend (take his stats down to 1 with Cassia Navigator stuff + one other person like Argenta with those Perplex on hit gloves (if not using the late game Rate of Fire gloves yet, but maybe switch to them here if Debuff capability is low), Idira Warp/Operative/Bounty Hunter debuffs, or Pascal operative/Machine spirit debuffs etc.).
Voice of Command + Take Aim. It Makes an attack on ally including full bursts, ignore damage reduction for ANY reason up to a % based on Officer's Fellowship bonus. By this point in the game about 60-70% and enough to get through its special defensive shield without taking down any pylons). Because it works best with Burst attacks effecting every hit, use it on Argenta.
Argenta with Heavy Bolter (preferably Improved Heavy Bolter by this point, but I did it with normal Heavy Bolter).
Argenta with Degrading Defence too (a debuff on enemies that makes them take more damage from allies the more you have hit them. Exemplar talent. Argenta hits bosts A LOT with Burst attacks (like 16-32+ times per attack depending on weapon, gear and talents) and the debuff stacks until the end of combat.
Having your offensive companions take talents that ignore or reduce portions of Deflection.
Having good defensive layers in your party like using Grand Strategist zones to your advantage (nice to never take injuries with Stronghold Stratagem abuse or kill enemies super early with Killzone Strategem + it's damage buffs). Sanctic Psyker buffs like Shield of the Emperor which can add a nice +2-4 Deflection Party wide + lots of Armour.
Just don't forget to attack the plasma ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ first. It's easy mode then. That being said, the game is a broken and embarrassing mess. Every time my MC uses their Firearm Mastery talent it doesn't do ♥♥♥♥ and it just gets wasted. Owlcat gets lost in their own sauce on mechanical interactions. They don't think far enough ahead, and they never look back.
Only had Heinrix left alive at that point. I genuinely have no idea how y'all don't suffer two character one-shots in turn 1 without min/maxing characters. I guess that's who this fight is for? I guess I'll just bypass it. Too bad, though.
I really really don't want to re-start from the war story. My time for gaming is very limited.
So you can reduce the hits, stats and others in the settings.
Doh! Ok they get the points back and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ punishment for the.dwv should be downgraded to a colleague buying a very loud toy for their young offspring.
Wish I saw this before redoing him until he died...
It is pretty easy even on unfair https://youtu.be/lDuKoKPhop4
