The modding scene for this game is very bare bones. Most mods are either minor cosmetic or quality of life stuff. The only one that sticks out is Toy Box that's a powerful in-game tool that both allows you to cheat and edit the game in terms of fixing bugs.

So don't expect big mods like overhauls or actual new content. At least for now.
The more interesting ones are those that unlock companion specific backgrounds. But yeah, the modding scene is certainly less developed than Owlcat's previous titles.

If you have long loading times, there is a mod that cuts them nearly in half. Another adds ship encounters when you get warp encounters so you geta mix of party and ship combats, both imo should be in a future patch.

Can I get a link for the loadings one? I have fairly short loadings, about up to 5 seconds, but it gets incredibly annoying nonetheless on the galaxy map where if I forget to do something on the bridge, it means like 3-5 loading screens before everything is sorted out properly..

I could not get the in game loading to work so did it manually, it is faster, but the slower you were the more you will appreciate the mod!, i have noticed it now takes longer to load up the save selection so there is that.

I use ToyBox to alter stuff in the game.
Does this game feel at times like you "need' to edit your stats to win? Some of the D&D games and pathfinder ones felt like that.

Not to win in combat, but how skills work in exploration is really wonky and can be downright unfun. That's more a criticism of the CRPG genre's approach to a tabletop mechanics and the issue is definitely present here.

I feel the game definitely bugs out a lot and you want to quicksave a lot just for the sake of if something gets bugged, you can turn the game off and on again and load that save to fix it.

For instance, my character has 127 logic skill, and game sometimes just randomly decides to use someone else's logic for a check for no reason, and that ends up say 12% chance for success, restart the game, it works fine.

I have experienced a lot of bugs especially in act 3.
