More Season Pass delays?
The second Season Pass release, Lex Imperialis, was originally due in December 2024, and then was delayed to Spring 2025. Spring is March, April, May.

I was under the impression that under Valve's new rules any further delays must be agreed with Valve? Otherwise folk have reason to demand partial refunds on their Season Pack purchases.

There is no teaser trailer or news on a release date. and we're now approaching the final month. What's the excuse this time?

I've searched and found statements from a developer representative. However those statements are vague, don't offer any information at all on the content, and don't even offer a screenshot. I'm sceptical that there's anything anywhere near a late development state.

It's done when it's done. Practice patience, like everyone else.

Kinda. Valve did indeed strengthen the rules on season passes on steam.

We understand that game development doesn't always go as planned. If you think you aren't going to be able to release a DLC into the Season Pass by the quarter you promised, we allow you to self-reschedule the release date one time only during the Season Pass. You can pick a new date up to 3 months later than you originally selected. If for some reason you need to delay more than that, please reach out to us directly.

The original quarter for the DLC's release date was Winter 2024, which ended in February. Currently Owlcat is in the "free" 3 month self-reshedule period. Should the DLC not release in May either, then Owlcat is required by the new rules to reach out to Valve.

While I would not mind a delay, when it's done it's done is a fine approach, but at least I would like SOME information for something I paid in advance for. Not the biggest of deals, but I am starting to find the silence around the topic a little bit troubling.
The simple solution is to stop pre-ordering ♥♥♥♥ like a damned fool. Other than that, it'll be out when it's out.

Quite frankly, I'd rather get it when it's good and ready than get it on a deadline, play it, and then have to wait however many more months for the fixes they didn't have time to implement to be patched in.
It's one thing for companies with a tenency to put out 5-year milestone plans only to then shut down the servers a week later, but Owlcat have shown they are good for it IMO.

We have active updates directly from community managers in the discord that are openly discussing what they can.

No need to panick
Let them cook.
They can release it the last day of may and still be in their time frame.
personally I hope they release it whenever would be funniest, I just don't know when that would be.

Season pass seems like a sucker's deal to me. Get a slight discount for content sometime in the undetermined future, that may or may not be trash?

Maybe for some studios, where the track record is consistent. Owlcat's most consistent quality is their botched releases.

season pass goes on sale for -45% while the void shadow DLC itself only goes on -20% sale. pretty good deal.

but it would indeed be nice to know when i can pick it up.

It's a little annoying the way the season pass has had a lot of sales despite not being out. I bought it pretty much immediately so am at a loss for no benefit

Yes but I paid for the second DLC. If I had bought the first one then bought a sale for the pack I would have paid less....

There was no benefit in me paying the full price for the SEASON pack
