any suggestions how to build Heinrix?
So far Im happy with my party. Myself being an officer and doing almost only support things, Abelard tank and melee killer, Sister of battle sending death in wholesale plus Indira and Pasqual both helpfull as supports or shooters/snipers/AOE suppliers, though not really being superb usefull (so far). From what I see Heinrix fits mostly as a support, but I dont think I need another support. Maybe second tank would do, but I think we is not specified to be a tank that much... well... he will not shine as that. Dont want him to be another Indira obviously. I dont have idea for him and I certainly dont want to have another third importance person in team. Id love to have him as usefull as Argenta or Abelard, but maybe more in his unique way. Do You have any sensible suggestions?

I am still playing about with Hendrix. The best I have had him so far is full on warrior with 2 handed sword and healing spell. He is your healer tank. He stands up to some punishment.

I use him most often as dodge tank/support/single target dispatcher. Only warrior trait I pick is desolation, only Assassin trait keep your distance. AGI>WS>PER. Abilities order: shield of the emperor > enfeeble > warp speed > base divination > prescience > ... Force swords + full on psyker and basic traits (figure them out yourself) pretty much up to Exemplar.

Second the 2 hand dps, but none of that has to do with heinrix I guess. He doesn't really have anything that sets him apart.

I built him as a somewhat passive support the first time around. Meaning edge of dawn and deterioration. Then leaning into enfeeble and vanguard. In the end it was all a bit moot as he ran around the map oneshotting things with the sanctic blade and infinite charges through a pair of boots iirc(provided he did manage to oneshot). So still kind of ended as melee dps.

Sanctic and biomancy make for a strong healer combo, but like you said, you don't really need it.

So apart from melee dps and tanking in some form there isn't really a whole lot heinrix can do. But he can do both those things very well. Santic is either defensive or geared for hitting hard ...once. (hammer of the emperor). And it's kind of the same for biomancy. Tons of heals but also a lot of damage from toxic and enfeeble.

What you can maybe try is to go some kind of shotgun pistol build. Warrior isn't all that great for non melee, but you could use crowd kill, opening strike and easy target to hunt supports/ranged? You could do WS+BS, the lack of STR could be offset in combat by iron arm I suppose. Then go into arch militant (stick with the base stance) and focus on crit damage and prone interactions.

The biggest problem with that though is going to be enemy dodge. You cna get a bunch of tanky talents but you will have low perception and will be missing out on the solider AOe buff that reduces enemy dodge. I suppose you can still do fine because you don't really loose all that much in the melee department even if you miss, but it's going to get annoying to miss those aoe attacks due to everybody dodging.

You would NEED other character to make up for that. Idira can make this MUCH easier for example. Even then....it's basically the same strategy, except using a shotgun instead of a two handed melee. Charge in, get bonus damage, then let 'er rip...only with a bit more crowd control and AoE

2hand seems okay - I guess I like two swords more than shotgun.

Tanking and healing is okay'ish. I could use him as a strong obstacle with nice claws to do some dmg. I think this is one of best options for now. But...

I've just found build idea for Pyro Chainsaw Interrogator - seems pretty okay. Most probably I will go for this one, though it looks like hit or miss thing. Might work great, or might not work at all. I guess I either want him very OP or dont want him at all ;-P. So: Orchestrate flame, body of flame and so on.

he makes a pretty good healer and general fixer-upper. But not all that necessary when you have med-kits. He has save a companion from death a couple of times though. Those that can't carry med-kits. He is pretty tanked though.
The other path I thought of taking him was as a pyromancer.

Pyromancer executioner with chainsaw. He can do literally millions of damage turn 1.

Broadly i don't use him but when i have to use him i make sure he can do a role of someone who he is replacing to be in the party for that required amount of mission so normally he gets to play at being a tank.

The unspoken rule especially when it comes to demolition and tech use.

I don't use him. But he likes to hit things with a sword and can use warp stuff. So just lean into that.

Just dont make the mistake of going into sword of faith. It is more designed for other arch types than warrior. Last testing the second casts to add damage were bugged and did nothing. A soldier or operative base works much better. Assassin with pyromancy is pretty good for that as you can use notes on weakness for any direct damage. Burning blood and backdraft from pyromancy is pretty good as all the attacks count as psyker attacks

I made him into a pyromancer tank and he is awesome. In fact he is now my number one on the battlefield.
