Though this has happened to me about... 7 times in my entire campaign (only 2 were really bad)
I read somewhere that, unlike the table top, this game only has 20 events but I did try to look into it but there is not much on the internet (or I didnt use the right terms) about this
So for all I know its about a 1/20 after triggering the effect which itself is a 1/20 (5%) chance so a 1/400 chance (0,25% chance).
Assuming ofc that what I read is the truth, and assuming each event has an equal chance so take the actual chance with a huge grain of salt
If you dont want to deal with perils of the warp like that (as long as they arent over the perils of the warp threashold) you will get another psyker later who is sanctioned
Thank you for the numbers btw, I figured it would be a low chance but a 1/400 so early in the game made me believe it had a lot bigger chance. Good to know!
Honestly been considering suggesting it to the devs as a way to balance psykers.... but I didn't want to become the most hated player lol
That said I kinda wish perils would cause the psyker to become posessed by a demon and instantly a new boss level threat replaces that character. Hehehehe
This is my one grievance about the whole thing. no XP for demons. . .However, you also don't need to kill them to end combat, so I guess that balances.
Do they still only target the player, or have they been updated to wreak havoc on whatever is closest? If Demons just raged on anything within range I would consider this balanced and acceptable, but in my opinion they should either give XP or be hostile to everything (that isn't also a demon)
(I am also very curious about what humorous reactions the cast would have to "Idira, Bastion of Faith" were they not fighting for their lives.)
