Yes I saw it recommended for Jae but no one seems to know how to find it. Still there might be an in game way of getting it.

You have to recruit chorda to get it which means no daredevil pistol

You have to recruit Chorda, or kill her act 4 to get it.

I got it off of Chorda, she did not get to act

It's very late game, like end of Act 4 beginning of Act 5 late (especially if you don't kill Chorda and recruit her as Iconcoclast or as Dogmatic (different recruitment versions but lead to her being a party member) at the beginning of Act 5.

Essentially there's around 3-6 hours left of play in the game and your gear will already be optimized enough.

So it’s from killing Chorda? Or some option from siding with the other fellow? I see it’s related to the chords quest line but I’m not 100% on how to get it yet

Simple answer is yes. No matter what you do, you will end up with the Armour as long as you either kill her or accept a certain offer from her.

*Spoilers*
By Act 4 Chorda and Winterscale are separate quests on the main quest track. They don't really have anything to do with each other at that point other than the back narrative that they're too busy fighting each other while the Expanse burns due to Word Bearers etc. You as the third RT wheel have to either kill both, leave them in their respective Dogmatic crazy and Heretical crazy states respectfully, or redeem them.

If you redeem Chorda in a dogmatic route she can be defeated on Footfall without fighting her directly (she just leaves in disgrace). The same goes for Iconoclast route just different versions of redemption.

Winterscale has a similar Iconoclast redemption tract, but he's left in a state where he cannot be a companion if Redeemed.

Anyways when you decide to enter a certain portal to Act 5, she and possibly Winterscale (if you redeem both), and a certain Xenos (possibly) help you out. Then Chorda decides she wants to tag along as your secret Dogmatic/Iconoclast companion. If you accept you get access to her equipment like any companion. So again one way or another you gain access to her armour either at the end of Act 4 by killing her, or the beginning of Act 5 with her joining you if you accept the offer..
