After that I restart the game multiple times trying difftent builds, story paths etc but when I approach chapter 3 I quit it.
I hope that Owlcat will do something with chapter 3 in the future to be more beareable or create a bypass or something, heck I would buy a DLC that would take me into diffrent route in chapter 3 that whatever it is now in game.
Two things kill Owlcat games for me mid-session. The general character/combat systems (i've got a big dislike for class based systems and buff/debuff orgies), some stumbling around in the story arcs and mostly the general campaign mechanics they include. And also that besides bug i'm also often start to realise those games haven't got enough replayability to me, to replay them when the DLCs are out, so i just drop it and wait for the DLCs, to never again pick them up either way.
So a lot of very subjective stuff for me.
Still love Owlcat for what they do though and will buy titles from them ;)
I imagine most that bought the game in the first 6 months have not come back to this game yet,
The rare few of us that had no issues compared to the vast numbers that did, did little to help people stay engaged in the game.
For me, the game fell off a cliff in Act 3. Bc essentially it's a whole new game, not what you've been working towards since the start.
I know that's not universal, but it might be a contributing factor for others as well.
I eventually dragged myself through the rest of the Act and was happy when it ended.
It's my least favourite part of every subsequent playthrough.
Not what I am saying, Im talking about how quick it is to finish chapter 3 yet only 25% players have done so. I'm not talking about completing the entire game.
It was enough to turn away a significant number.
My point being, I suppose there is a fair amount of buyers who just haven't had the time to get there yet.
Not to mention a bug set your game back for 10 hours.
(which could been a week long play time).
Make me want to quit multiple times.
Now I'm in Chapter 3 and despite spotting the upcoming 'betrayal' a mile away, I was unable to do anything about it as far as I can make out. I now have zero gear, no access to trading or space combat, horrendous debuffs etc. and fully expect to have to try and remember how everyone was geared, rather than have the game sort it out for me.
The 'get taken prisoner and lose all your stuff' is an over-used trope in games for the most part, but the modern ones that employ it generally get that its incredibly annoying and it only lasts a short time (see BG3 etc.). But no, I've been wading through Chapter 3 for at least an hour or two now and seriously contemplating abandoning the game here. Which is a shame, because Chapter 2 especially was tremendous fun. Can anyone convince me its worth continuing? The description of the boss fight and the increasing level of buginess is not exactly enticing me...
