Act 5 Help

So, im stuck on act 5. Probaby a bug, but wanted to check to see if Im missing something.

Ive explored the 4 systems, checked out the few places you can land. Defeated the necrons voidships defending the throne world and now im stuck.

The quest, says to search for evidence for where the inquisitor went. Which makes me think it didnt update at some point.

I cant scan or otherwise interact with the necron throne world.

The sun in the final system seems to have something of interest highlighted, but I cant visit it.

Otherwise, I believe I have explored everything.

Does anyone know what is supposed to come next?

there should be a system with 3 stars around a planet.
thats where your next main mission is.

It's a glitch, in the first tomb complex you discover the translation terminal has coordinate information that tells you to go to the final system to find the Inquisitor, but sometimes It just doesn't give you that info, so the quest never fires. You'll need to reload before you went to that, so essentially completely restart chapter 5

I just ran into that too - a good year later. :/
With the toybox that I installed to fix this I can get it to a state where I can interact with the planetoid, but now there is a minefield I cannot pass.

Does anyone know what I have to fix to keep going? I really don't want to restart the chapter.

I ran through act 5 today and didnt have any issues. verify your game files then reload to just before you go into act 5. Luckily the whole act can be done in 20 minutes

Thanks for the tip - "All 18919 files successfully validated" (does that mean they were already fine?).

I might try again, but I have to admit this is killing my motivation. This is my first playthrough, and I'd like to stick to all the impulsive choices I made in dialogues (that of course I cannot remember now), and not have a do over. Sigh.

I had really hoped that a few checked boxes in the editor would preserve my choices. Oh well.
