Rat Poison

Welp. I'm at the point of giving up.
I'm at the part where you need to obtain the rat poison while everyone is asleep. Well, not everyone is asleep.
Getting past mom is no biggy, it's the guy at the door outside.
Every angle I approach from I get caught, he just 180s and it's GAME OVER. I take the light out, he moves over to the right and continues his smoke. I try to sneak in from the far left (Right behind him) and I still get caught.
I have been at this from quite some time now. Anyone have any solutions?

You have to try this part of this chapter more than one or 5 time. You have to be careful because it is maybe a glitch but you can do it maybe try to hide behind the tree or if you really can't do this chapter search the savegame for the chapter 4 in google and install them to your savegame and you can continue you game.But I think that you can hide behind the tree and wait to the point where McGuffin said Is here somebody and then try to go in to the room. You have to go behind the tree and try to move as close as possible to the detective then make the lamp falls down. In this moment where he goes to inspect the lamp you have to walk your way in.

^ Basically use telepowerthingy on the lamp above him and he'll move

I knew what to do, I was just having a problem with McGuffin always spotting me when I went for the door, no matter what.
