The 1000 Mission Achievement Is Bad
Having played now for 20+ hours, I can see I'm relatively close to getting most, if not all the achievement, but the 1000 mission one.

That is an absurd amount of time to sink that one. I've got around 150 missions complete and could probably polish off the rest in, at most, another 50 or so.

Needing to play 800 more rounds is absurd.

Please consider reducing this achievement or replacing it with something that requires skill or effort versus just insane grind.

Complete 1000 missions → 500 missions.
Kill 100 Acid Bois → 50.
Kill 120,000 Lavalisk → 50,000.
Use Proximity Mines 5,000 times → 500.

I feel like the grind isn't all that bad, doing 5 to 10 missions takes between 30min to an hour, so chipping away at this a little every day isn't going to take forever in my opinion. I think the grind could be cut down a lot if the raid missions counted as well, they are the most fun aspect of the game and I find myself replaying them a lot, and on max lenght there is around 15 missions per raid. Definitely something I am replaying a lot right now

As an achievement farmer I can agree with this. When all other achievements are unlocked and you are only 20-30% into the final one it no fun.

How in hell are you making 10 missions in 30 min? that is 3 min per mission, I'm fairly certain most missions are made to be 10~15 min long, especially so if it's a hard one and you need to slow down time...
Never mind, I started paying more attention to the mission debrief, the time does say in average 3 mins (though some missions want you to defend 15 min) but Idk if that includes the slowed time or is real time.

The time in the debrief does reflect real time, had a 15 min mission take 16:15 due to a mix of speed up and slow down, I believe those long defense missions happen less than the others but still...

Assuming an average of 4 min, 1000 missions is 4000 min -> about 67 hours, that's a lot to grind through given most of the content is repeatable, makes me think maybe this one exists to blow up the game time metrics (just a random thought).

You're complaining because one of the achievements is an actual achievement?

Well, when you put it that way...

Grinding for an additional 40+ hours is as much an achievement as showing up with a pulse.

I have discussed this apparently hot topic with a Discord member, Deds.
For me, a good achievements should either be hard, test your skills, force you to change the way you play or teach you a new way of playing a game. The worst ones are "You started the game", "You played First Mission".
What would you guys say if I add some more hard achievements instead of making the only hard easy? Maybe "Finish the game without ever upgrading loadout slots"?
I'm sitting right now trying to fix some of the broken ones, like Only Tool.

I personally prefer achievements that make you approach the game in a different manner than you would normally play, like playing with only X type of towers on Y missions.

When they work, complete a mission in "X" amount of time is fun, too, as it makes you really thing of how to accomplish it.

The kill hundreds of thousands of monsters or play 1,000 games are miserable. The Acid Boi one sucks, too, since its once per only some maps. If there was an Acid Boi map, that could make it more interesting.

I'm not minding the achievements as they are right now, but the 1000 missions one I feel like it would be more achievable if the raid missions counted too. There are easily around 15 or more on a long raid and I think after people are done with the story missions it is more enjoyable to play the raids than simply trying to do every map mission. That being said I did have some ideas for some non-casual achievements:

Hostile Takeover - Conquer the entire planet
Helldivers - Complete a mission using only Elite Reinforcement Dropods
Liquid Gold - Obtain 100k Epli in a single mission
Cancel the Honeymoon Plans - Kill the Bride of Idun on a Hard Raid
Making Uncle Sam Proud - Expend 100k rounds of ammunition from the Sky gun MK2 in a single mission (hint more guns = more bullets spent)

These are just a few off the top of my head. Maybe not everyone would like them, but some people would appreciate the effort.
One important part with achievements is that given the length of the game, there should not be conflicting achievements that basically make you replay the game from the start to get the other one, that is ok on a game that is short, but not in one that is very long, or re-playable like this one.

I feel like every game deserves at least one hard one, right?
Hard and boring grind are not the same though...

these 2 are probably also impossible, im optimizing to max to try get under 2 mins, dont think 1 min is possible because of the speed you gather even with upgrades and how much you need per level.

Hmm maybe in easy difficulty with maxed out upgrades for the excavator and be lucky with the gold placement?
