This game is pretty much ruined

I hate to say it, but I almost feel like I've wasted all the money I've spent on this game over the past year or so. I started playing back before the Infamy update, when the game was still somewhat enjoyable, but now it's basically a pain in the ♥♥♥ just to play.

If you don't end up spending an hour staring at crime.net getting "Failed to connect to game" over and over on everything you click on, you're going to get randomly disconnected or the host will leave at the end of the last day of your heist. If neither of those things happen, you end up in a lobby with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, ♥♥♥♥tard V-100 infamous people who ♥♥♥♥ talk you the entire game and then kick you at the very end for no reason other than to be "look at me, I'm infamous V and host and don't like you".

I really wish there was some way to report the people I just played with as well, because I probably had one of the most unpleasent games I've ever played so far (even compared to other stuff I play, like DOTA, which is saying a LOT), due to a V-100 host. He was talking in text chat, so I have screenshots of him discussing kicking me at the end of the heist and all of the harassment he was doing. I was considering leaving because I was getting really pissed off, but I wasn't say anything back. He continued harassing me the entire time, not talking about anything relevant to the heist or how I was actually performing, just being upset that I used "HaxHud" and that I "wasted money" on buying assets at the start for them (which comes out of my own spending cash), and then ♥♥♥♥♥ing about the skill set I was using and even what kind of armor I was wearing. Basically, being an enormous elitist ♥♥♥♥♥ for no reason at all, other than to apparently fulfill his need to validate all the time he wasted getting infamous V. And to reiterate, I did NOTHING to provoke that behaviour, I didn't even talk back.

On top of all the other ♥♥♥♥ you have to put up with while playing, from glitchy heist objectives breaking and forcing you to start all over to having to spend so long just to find a suitable lobby, the community these days has become a big ♥♥♥♥-cherry on top of it all.

It's just not a fun game anymore. I remember there being a time when people played this game cooperatively, but these days it's basically an MMO full of hostile neckbeards going on about "stats" and how you're not using the right gear.

Right click on Payday 2 in your games library, click uninstall. This game will be better with less people that don't appreciate the hard work Overkill puts into this game. Yeah some people are tools but it's part of life, don't like the host, leave.

The game has many flaws and the community the blindly sucks Overkill will be the primary reason Overkill will never have to drastically improve it. Still an okay game though.

The problem isn't "some people", it's the vast majority of people these days. No one plays this game like an FPS anymore, where, apart from needing a variation in gear to succeed, you can basically use any weapons you want as long as you can survive with them and pull your weight, which is based entirely on skill. Now it's all about stats and having the right "build" and all that ♥♥♥♥. I accomplish more and kill more than most of the people who ♥♥♥♥♥ about that kind of stuff do on a regular basis just using the stuff that I like to use, but apparently now it gets you kicked out of lobbies, regardless of how good you are.

I've seen V-100 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the "best" gear on and "best" build getting downed repeatedly and coming out with a quarter of the kills as any else.

Fixed, and also, quoted for truth.
When we need mods to fix the game (like the underdog "bug" for instance, wich is in fact poorly coded, taking underdog actually screw you), when freebies are actually mostly things that should have been at launch, and we pay 8€ for a 10mn dlc, and when you say something about it, you are trashed something is wrong nowaday.

Overkill are ofc not making that much money anymore by making and selling some paid and some free dlc's especially when a certain percent of the amount that we pay for the dlc's go to Valve anyway. So for Overkill to still be supporting the game and will be for another 2 years is amazing, they even made us a "Happy New Year" website with new FREE content during THEIR holiday. The amount of time and effort Overkill are and will be putting in this game is ALOT more than any other company ever does on just ONE game

The percieved 'over-kicking' only happens to a minority of players. You must be doing something to warrant these kicks.

I don't. I never comment on my own performance in game or anyone else's, I just play the game, because that's what I'm there for, not to measure e-peens. That doesn't mean I can't see how well I'm doing compared to other people, though. I usually end up with most kills, most damage, and most specials killed. Which I'd even say is kind of irrelevant if you're not playing towards the objectives, anyways.

And I don't use anything "unusual", I typically use a CAR-4 modded for max accuracy and stability with 45 damage, the Tec-9 secondary, and a CTV, skilled into Masterforcer for Inspire and some staying power to help keep people up. However, that provoked the worst harassment I've ever gotten in any heist for no apparent reason, even saying ♥♥♥♥ like "remove infamy".
