Mask Hacking

Some old exclusive masks, such as e3 orc and the crossbreed and a few others are so cool, people hack to get them, but now autokick just for a mask (people joining my lobby and get kicked, friends etc.) pointless for masks..

This post is actually not about me condoning cheats, I'm just trying to see if people agree there should be an alternative way to obtaining masks, unobtainable ones, like mentioned above.

Maybe allow people to buy them for cash (irl or otherwise) a time after the event.

Cheating comes in many ways, also if these masks are for these people, people are ruining the value of these masks.
A kick is a little over the top but cheating is cheating.

That's a lot like what it sounds like.

I don't buy your excuse because you can turn off the auto kick yet you complain about your friends joining. If that was really the case you would just turn it off.

I've already had the pleasure of seeing several folks auto kicked from my White Xmas games, out of curiosity I checked their profiles from the recent games tab (Since their name still briefly comes up) and they were indeed the <50hrs 100% achievement all at once/V-100 type of scum. Not much of a stretch to assume they would have hacked and circumvented the legitimate methods of acquisition for these masks/weapon packs from that.

This auto cheater kick is an amazing addition and one I fully support :)

Nah, in all honesty I mean for masks that you can't get at all, I have no problem grinding jewelry store for masks, which I have done, for countless hours, just think there needs to be a better way of obtaining them, turns the game stale after a while.

But yeah, I'd cheat in a mask no longer obtainable if I wanted it enough and just host my own games, which wouldn't be a problem since I only play with friends.

I was just stating an opinion, for others, since, getting some masks you want, isn't exactly harming anyone.. Just think you should be able to get them through other means, like paying RIDICULOUS amounts of money to get the ones you want, 10 million plus, but still obtainable through a card drop, cheap as usual, but if you want it bad enough you can grind the cash instead.

I love the cheater autokick, when I just got Payday 2, I ended up at level 30 in one game because someone was using an XP hack, and I was actually pissed off about it, and I reset my progress, I like doing things legit.

But I think there should be less MMO style grind to do so, as in easier, or just as hard ways to get masks, but obtain the ones you like, instead of getting doubles of crap you reaaally don't want, like I got The Vampire 3 runs in a row on Jewelry Store..

There's another problem: other players can't edit the amount of XP you get or your levels.

I think the core of what you're getting at with this topic is that you'd like it if OVK sold their exclusive content (like the Lootbag DLC, for example) after a period of waiting. With this I completely agree, the games been out long enough that anyone who bought the CCE doesn't even wear the Skull mask anyway, I'd like to buy it and I don't understand why OVK don't put it up for sale. I mean, they want money right? That's what this cheater-kick does, right? Makes no sense.

As for the Alienware and Humble masks, I would be fine if I had to wait a year and six months, respectively, to get those. That's entirely a hypothetical but I would think they shouldn't withhold content from people who are determined to steal it anyway. Selling it as a price would be a win-win at this point. Absurd to think you need to buy a $500+ machine just for those two silly helmets. Still, I want those damn helmets. :\

Well, there is an Alienware helmets that noone outside of america can buy. And there are people with better machines than alienware's. So they are out of luck and indeed obliged to cheat them in.
