OP is talking about the satellite dishes in some maps.
There are 3 ouside the safehouse.
One in bigoil day 1.
Three or so on Hotline Miami day2 if i remember correctly.
You can shoot them down , but so far they they don't seems to be of any purpose gamewise.

Hold yo horses, this isn't new news. They've been there for quite a while, although they probably do have something to do with the actual secret, it's not new. Many people have tried breaking/shooting them in several orders, but nothing have been discovered that's having to do with them (yet).

This might be the first time I have seen/heard the word VCR in months. I grew up with them, but I am pretty sure most kids these days have no idea what they are.

Those are sattelite dishes, nothing to argue about, it is pretty obvious.

If they are used for entertainment , for internet or bi-directional-cummuncation is not very important at this point.

VCRs are videorecorders and have nothing to do with Satelite-Technology what so ever, i don't even know why you have mentioned viderecorders at this point.
