People calling me a cheater

So i got called a cheater 2 times today, the first time i was in someone else's lobby, as soon as i join they tell me "we don't like cheaters", i was confused, and i thought they were talking about the other guy that just joined. After an awkward silence, i get kicked. I decide to host my own lobby, and since i needed some dosh i chose to do an hoxton breakout pro ovk. Some people join, and we play all the heist through and finish it. When we get back in the lobby one of them tells me "We can see that you're cheating" and they leave.
Now, i'm I-100 even though i have quite some hours in the game because i'm waiting for some of my friends to catch up. My profile on pd2stats is clean and i don't use any mods except for the Lower Shadow Mod v4 (no, i don't use hoxhud, too cluttered for me). What is this? Am i marked as a cheater to other players which are using hoxhud ?

Apparently it's a problem with hoxhud (or the game itself) and the new dlc weapons/masks and the humble bundle masks. Until it gets fixed, don't just kick anyone flagged as a cheater, but use your common sense and observation spirit to tell who is legit cheater, and who isn't.

Because a lot of people don't know that update came with a bug who spot you as cheater when you bring new weapons

I have all dlc except the last one, in these 2 games i was using the gecko, uzi and in the other one gl40 and cobra.

I think it has something to do with the Historical Weapon DLC, more specifically the Nagant, if what I've heard is correct.

Strange, I've been using the nagant a lot (for achievements) and haven't run into this yet.

I saw someone today that got flagged as a cheater. At first I figured it was because of this very issue, the new weapon pack thing. Then the person put on a mask from the Humble Bundle giveaway, and it said that was invalid too, so I was certain it was an error.
Then the person killed all NPC's on the map on Election Day day 1 and it was just kinda "..wat"
It's kinda weird, but I know the new weapon pack can flag as cheater for some reason. Hope it'll get fixed, because it's kinda hard to tell who is legit cheater, and who isn't.

A mates having the same problem using new dlc masks.
Has over 1000 hours in game and doesnt cheat but tags him as a cheater to hoxhud users after last update. "invalid mask" and "invalid contract" "invalid weapon" in chat at start of hiest.

Is just hoxhud, needs to catch up is all.

No, it's the game doing it. Not hoxhud. PD2 has a built in "cheater detection" feature. I'd know, I've never used hoxhud and I've seen people flagged as cheaters several times.

it is not hoxhud man, is the game, i have never being close to using hoxhud and i have seen for the last 3 days people with one or other history being dlc mark as cheater.

Don't worry about it mate, people who have some time put into the game know which ones are cheating and which ones are legit and if there are level I-100 cheaters out there then why keep it at I-100 right? just go for the full V-100 if you're going to risk it risk it all the way haha.

Btw OP where did you get the shadow mod? I'd like to know because some of the maps give me a little bit of FPS drop when i play them.

OK.. I was playing with him and no cheater flag and then got a hoxhud update message in game yesterday.
Finished heist and updated then said he was a cheater upon my return.

So was an assumption on my part.
