Mosin-Nagant for sniping lovers only

Today I buy Historical DLC and I like it. MG is grate luger is awesome but who a ..... put that 21 century scops for Mosin Nagant realy ??? why we dont have the original Nagant sniper scope :-( this is the singe thing that I hate about this dlc. The rifle looks like s.... when is equipped with modern scops and red dots ( and if some one say use iron sight then why is in Sniper section shut be in rifles then ) or not??? what you guys thing about this and the Mosin rifle ???

Yea it does look silly, and the iron sights aren't that bad up to medium range, yea at 40+ meters the iron sight isn't great to hit heads but they work fine.

I totally agree, it should have come with a PU scope as default. It's a SNIPER rifle - so please actually give us a sniper rifle scope!

This is such a basic error.

It functions like a sniper rifle, thus why shouldn't it be classed as such?

Secondly, most of the scopes are pointless anyway. There are few maps where the scope actually becomes useful.

I love the mosin simply because I can aggressively use it in CQC with snap-shots off the irons, which are good enough for long range combat anyway. The Russian weapons all suffer terrible sight mounts anyway, so the irons are the best way to go.

Also, OP, the broomhandle isn't a luger. It is a Mauser C96, which is much, much better on the eyes.

Use the 'stealth stock' and it'll look a bit more like a modern rifle.

That aside, in Killing Floor, Marksman perk weapons all uses Iron Sights, instead of Scopes. With the exception of Crossbow and late-game added M99 sniper rifle.

So I see there's no issue with using Iron Sight with a sniper rifle. I have tons of fun with it actually.

I don't think the mosin-nagant had a scope in the beginning.
It was only after people realized that this riffle had a larger effective range that scoped versions were created in future iteration of the nagant.

The reason is due to animation. Plenty of people put modern day scopes on Mosin Nagants(remove ironsight replace with rail) but the reason why OverKill didn't put the PU scope is when you add the PU scope you remove the stripper clip functionality. This slows down reloading while at the same time creating a separate reload animation for the same gun.

I'm a bit dissapointed in the Nagant. It isn't filling much of a purpose. I like it and all but it coulda done a good service either being a more concealable sniper or actually inbetween the r-93 and thanatos damage wise. Right now it's just a little bit stronger then the R-93 with a bit less ammo. I just woulda liked it to get its own nitch rather then just be another middle line sniper.

It does have the highest possible concealment of snipers, at 14. That's just 2 less than the saw, which a lot of people bring to stealth. And it functions just as well as when it has 0 concealment.

Does it? Cause a frend of mine said it didnt have any mods to add concealment. I havent managed to get the achievements for it yet. But if thats true that is pretty nice though I wouldn't say 14 is a high enough value to matter since I know the rattlesnake can get up to ten.

I've got all the achievements, and it does reach that value. Iron sights add 2, the stock adds 3, Short Barrel adds 3. And it starts out with 6, so it's 14 in all.

Kodiak-K2 hmmm interesting I was not think that way and yes you are right the PU scop position will change the reloud ( it will end up by puting round afther round animation what will increase reloud time ) thanks guys for your points off view :-)

Considering the original "scope" for the mosin nagant was just a "focus tube" with a hair there would not be much to gain from it.

yes you will dont get so much but the main thing is that the rifle is under sniper rifles section so why thay dont put that under rifles becouse my problem probably is that Iam look at that as a sniper rifle ( beause it is i that section ) but thay dont realy give us the option to use it as a realistic looking sniper rifle :-/

i think i would want to use the original scope that was shiped for the russion version of the mosin

or take one of the scopes from a ltter version or from one of the finnish versions
