The Diamond Is So Infuriating As A Solo Heister

The tiles at the end really are the most annoying thing, I have 25 seconds to get across his path that he shows on the fuse box. The problem is, it takes 10 seconds for the whole path to even show up on the fuse box. Its hard to make it across in 15 seconds while being cautious to not hit the wrong tiles :/

Try acing Silent Killer on a rogue dodge setup for stealth. That would work if stealth were to be broken.

It deffinitly is, but if playing solo, and the alarms have already gone, you have 2 choices:
Hope the AI can cover you as you try to do the puzzel which really requires your full attention, or just accept the firefight and trigger the gas as fast as possible.

On the day of release that's how I finished it on deathwish solo. I brought a fugitive-mastermind build specifically for those 3 minutes, and it wasn't too bad after I got out of the north hall and started kiting enemys around the map.

I think that Overkill should either raise the time for DW to 45 seconds, or the timer should only start ticking after the last light went on. I don't think you should make the game any harder than necessary, in the attempt to create fun through challenge, but actually sacrificing the fun to the difficulty. 45 seconds still isn't a lot of time, especially if you are alone, and there's still a lot of room to screw up.

Just waiting in front of the tiles and restarting the hack over and over is not really a fun part, is it?

If you are playing solo like you mentioned then just pause the game once the pattern is up, take a screenshot, and bung it on your second monitor or whatever before going back in unpausing and sprinting across. It's what I did for the Stealth and DW achievements since I hate stealth onlne and no-one apparently wants to play this loud. I didn't get a straight path, I wasn't even aware a straight path was possible until reading about it here on the forums.

My justification is that's literally what I would do if I was there by myself in real life, take a photo or still image of the solution on my phone or whatever then proceed to scoot across with this info on hand.
Heck us being multi billion dollar professional heisters with Bain constantly hacking into all these networks I'm surprised we don't just have him using all his gadgets and technical wizardry to guide us through after the puzzle solution has been displayed.

When I did it on DW I didn't care much, triggered the alarm on my way out and used ECM overdrive to survive until tthe chopper came.

place spycams in the two middle rooms and one in the room right before the vault/diamond. Place thermite and on in trought he far back, rightside window for the laddeer to climb back out. Don't even bother with ECM's and just bring two body bag cases. If it wasn't for the 30 second timer and the timelocks im sure it would be really easy to solo DW on the map in under 10 mins.

It's a really simple map and thats it's weakness as a paid DLC, but it is a fun heist IMHO.

You realize he's only talking about the diamond puzzle and not stealth in general?

And that is supposed to help... how? The tiles reset every time, they're only possible to step on while the timer is running and said timer is only 30 seconds (or 60 seconds, depending on difficulty)

30 seconds on DW is fine - if you have someone with you to give you directions.
For SOLO, there they may need to raise the timer by 15 seconds on DW.

Playing in Offline and pausing the game is quite a creative solution to the RNG.

Still prefer just resetting it 3-4 times. It doesn't really take too long.

OK YES i had the same Challenge

I did manage to beat The Diamond SOLO on Death wish


after assuming youve mastered sneaking UP to the point of the Hacking Tile Part

All i Did was Be VERY Patient

Litterally resest it until You get a STRAIGHT PATH

its the only way to be quick on Deathwish

You have to grab the diamond and make in back in 15 secs yes.............


just be patient and wait for a Straight one It t Worked for me



By the way i was level 100 and had a super sneak build............. and concelment 3
