Players afraid/jealous about Fugitive builds ?
Hey there,

I'm asking if you guys using a Fugitive build / Dodge based build had encoundered players completely mad about your gameplay style. Some of them will just kick you if they see a low armor or akimbos... I find that build is very interesting, allowing you to get through cops without being hurt and make them focus on you, giving your teammates time to move bags or move through a dangerous area, or taking cops into a sandwich with cooperation. I understand that some people are afraid of this, because that's a build really hard to master and most of players I saw attempting it just fall the first minute of the heist.

The last was in Hotline Miami day 2, the guy just went completely mad when I runned on the 2 wings on the roof, killing any cop that could spawn and Pwning dozers and shields with crit HE Judge gun. He claimed that I didn't have a "teamplay" : what do you mean by teamplay when the drill auto-restart, 2 medbags down and 3 guys stay in cluster in a room ? Then when the heli had come, he just shouted at me to move bags when I was covering these guys from nearby spawns... and said that I was wasting all ammo (I used ammobag only once in the whole game...). So what's wrong ? With a more "common" build, I would have done the same thing but with another weapons... And finally, I had almost twice bodycounts as them, proving that I weren't wasting bullets.

So what do you think ?

i get mad if you bring FAKs to a DW heist because they are just useless to a techforcer and the team in general.

EDit: ON topic, theres nothing wrong with a dodge build and when i play one on OK in public lobbies im usually carrying and inspiring peoples arses up.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I use this build in OK only. So I'm not talking about DW. In DW, I use a mix of MasterForcer with Berserk (considering that in DW, you are not really with high HP over time...)

It may not have been your build. He may have just been unhappy you were outperforming him, or not playing the way he wanted you too.
I just did Miami Hotline and while two guys were defending the bar code reader, me and another moved bags to the car. 1 of the guys was whining that me and the guy should be kicked.
This is why I host.

Techforcer with 277 armor, die 8 time in DW, I'm in suit I die once, so who said Suit was bad for DW ?

@Stonepaq
That's what I say : people underestimate dodge builds because they can't master it on the first course...

I don't see how jealousy or fear could possibly be factors. It's not like Fugitive talents are only accessible to a portion of the community. If they think a build is great, chances are they'll try it.

It's more likely that the host simply didn't like how you played, not what you played. Whether or not he was justified is not for me to say.

Doesn't mean much I'm afraid. Not saying dodge is impossible on DW, but there are more factors at play: wearing an ICTV isn't why he went down, just like wearing a suit wasn't what kept you up. Unless it's a magic suit, it's likely how you played, not what you wore.

first problem i nsaw with Dodge build was. i knew how to but i didnt have the perk points ready. dodge without crook cat 7&9 or more is ok till very Hard, but for OK i would prefer Crook completed for the last 15% dodge. i guess, people tired it, didnt have the points for crook (what is a lot od dodge) and failed. now they see you/us in the lobby and think you would fail as they did before, not knowing you/we spend a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of time efford and points to make it work. personaly i play in a small groupe of the same 6 people oer and over again, but every now and then we allow a random stranger into the team. had to explain the build pretty often in the last few days. conclusion: peopleget confused by Fugs, confusion = scepsis = kick

I play fug/forcer I run raven and HE judge , but I bring 2 ammo bags packed with ammo. If you were running around "owning" shields and dozers you and I both know you were eatting tons of ammo.

The HE judge is aa ammo killer , thats why I bring 2 ammo bags packed. One for me and one for the crew.

I am willing to bet the guy yelling at you had a sniper gun and brought it to just kill dozers and shields , add the fact you were killing them faster then eatting all the ammo (his sniper gun needs alot of ammo also) I see where you looked like a ammo hog.

If you are going run a HE judge like I do theen you need the double ammo bags with 200% more ammo in them or you need to just get a differnt 2nd weapon.

Had this happen to me last night. Joined a DW Mallcrashers using the same build I'd just beaten Hoxton Pro DW with, including my lightweight vest.

We spawn on the host in the back area by the petrol cans, host circles round me... literally looks me up and down, stands still... and I knew the kick was coming at this point so I was laughing, poof gone. GG.

In my opinion, they even dont know about dodge or they are too dumb to do it properly so they think its not working.
Rednitro Nov 7, 2014 @ 4:26pm
i was kicked numerous times just by entering a lobby.
Most of the host diden't even bother asking me to suit up.
Hey, he got 2 guns and a light vest, #kick

When I feel like wearing a suit/L.A or I just want a dodge build. I usually host the game or play with my friends. It's funny because those who say "that build is useless". They tend to die before me.

And if you're infamy IV/V or you have many hours on record, I think you know how to move or where to go.

Couldn't agree more. I believe both playstyle have their advantages and disadvantages and depending on their approach will allow that build to shine or be detrimental.

I had a player one time jokingly comment that "dodge is OP" after I proceed to run into combat to rez him when there was less than three seconds left. It was reckless of me but somehow my 40% dodge pull me through. My response to him was it's good only if I used it right.

There are times I feel like a leaf in the wind and other times a bullet magnet. The build can only do so much for the player. How I use it is the bigger factor in my opinion.
