any way to infulence specific card drops.

hey, im curious to kno if there is any way to infulence the payday card drops. I have heard conflicting reports, one being you equip the mods you dont want to drop on your guns, but honestly in my experience it doesnt seem to help. so i would appreciate any help with this, cheers guys and gals

It's quite the opposite. You unequip the mods you don't want.

How it works:
If you have 2 of a mod in stock (not on weapon) that mod will not drop anymore. (or has reduced drop chance...not sure) That still won't protect you from the useless XP and cash cards, and getting that slightly different pink/purple color.

This is correct, i'm at the point where I don't find weapon mods at all anymore. If I equip one, I find it as soon as I get a weapon mod card.

That unfortunately doesn't work for masks, patterns and such

Get 2 mods in your inventory, that mod won't drop anymore. Meaning unequip mods from guns to reduce the amount of all the remaining of that mod that will drop.

Sell guns you are not hoping to get mods for, the guns you can select to use in heists are more likely to get drops for them. If you are looking for very specific mods, sell as many guns from your inventory as possible.

Disable Loot Bag(preorder), Gage #1, Gage #2, Armored Transport, and Xmas OST DLCs(unless you are looking for a mod from one of those DLCs), since these are the DLCs that add to the card pool. Re-enable them when you are done getting the mods you wanted(NOTE: This will probably delete any masks/guns/mods you have earned from the DLC, I have not tested what exactly happens when disabling it. It's not the end of the world though.).

Being at Level 100 prevents EXP Cards from dropping.

Farming cards on Normal has the lowest Infamous Item drop rate. Equipping a Perk Deck that is not maxed out prevents the Infamous Item drop rate from going up. Staying at 0-100 while card farming prevents you from getting the Infamy boost to Infamous Item drop rate. Farming cards on Overkill has the highest Infamous Item drop rate(Death Wish shares the same value as Overkill), each difficulty from Normal to Overkill does go up, but honestly the amount between Normal and Overkill is *VERY* small, and should only be worried about when you are trying to farm for Infamous Items specifically.

Can someone please confirm that CoryStarkiller is right, or at least isn't wrong? I've still not had a straight grip for my CAR-4s nor any of the parts unique to the AK5 so I'm wondering if I should strip all the mods off of everything to boost my chances of getting mods I don't already have... I'm reluctant to sell all my guns, though, since I have at least one of everything.

Just get GoonMod. The GageCoins feature which is part of that mod will allow you to specifically get what you want without having to deal with the random drop system, you just have to collect gage packages from the courier DLC.
