It's like most sequels, however. There are people who will never, ever like it as much.
- In general there are more options and possibilities. More actual content as well.
- The heists in PD:TH are far more streamlined and cinematic than most of their PD2 counterparts. A lot of people -me included- think PD:TH is way better in terms of mission design. With the recently released missions (Big Bank, Hotline Miami) the 2nd one is catching up though...
- PD:TH is more challenging than PD2. If you're used to the 1st game, playing everything up to Overkill in PD2 will feel like a walk in the park.
