Is there a way to use the content community without an internet connection?

Err... could you rephrase that a little bit? I don't understand the question.

What he's asking is if you can use community content offline (which you can't even if you DO join the group)

No. Be aware too that community mods attached to weapons are detached when you play without internet connection...

Community items are locked if you play while NOT connected to steam.

In fact this sucks pretty hard... I can play as Clover (since I have the DLC), but I can't play as Hoxton when offline... or play Art Gallery... and others...

If you were logged in, on steam, and your internet went out, you could still use the community items and unlock achievements.
If you didn't log into steam or purposly launched steam in offline mode, you won't be able to use the items or obtain achievements.

ehmmm. Didn't knew that. Kinda ♥♥♥♥♥ isn't it.

Can't they just release "community bundles", with a productkey (free DLC)? That would circumvent the whole problem wouldn't it? (like all free DLC up until Jan 2015, even this is done once a year it would work better)

This is much. Half the community are dummy accounts due CrimeFest anyway. I think it wouldn't matter in the end.

I bet they want to keep you in the group as opposed to joining in order to get the DLC and leaving later. Still, it's a pain in the ass and hurts people who sometimes play offline.

And that thing Grishenko wrote about which I wasn't aware of is a total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on top of that:

I'd rather have whole weapon locked when offline rather than it's config changed.

Though this is just me guessing,
Its probably because of people that get banned from the forums, there is a chance that getting banned will automatically remove/block a player from the community group, meaning they would get kicked trying to use the community items. If you can't follow the rules, why should you be allowed to use those items ?

I think people only get banned from the discussion board and groupchat, not the communitygroup itself, I'm not experienced in that^^ (and people get banned for more reasons then just cheating, so the punishment might be to severe, let's say someone only spammed text in chat, but that's my opinion, not a fact)

I'm always connected, so I haven't had this problem with community items not available. Think it's just too bad for fellow (offline) heisters tho.
