Difference Between Stability and Accuracy?
As a preference, I always want to minimize recoil and make my bullets hit my target as much as possible. Always prefering weapons based on accuracy/firepower/mag size(i tend to run out of bullets a lot too). However, I've never considered what stability does and I'm curious as to how it affects my overall ability to hit my target. I thought about this because as I modded my Gecko rifle from the Gage Assault Pack, I had a very high accuracy, and I realized that i literally brought down my stability to 0. I haven't been able to play with the gun at the moment to see what happens due to being a bit busy at the moment, but I am curious at the moment also to find out. So what does stability do exactly?

Stability vs Accuracy**

Stability = Recoil.

How does one affect the other though?

Sorry for the bad wording. That's pretty much my overall question. What is the difference between accuracy and stability? How do they affect each other?

More Stability = less recoil. It caps out at 25 prior to skills. Stability does not affect Accuracy (well, other than, if you shoot a lot of bullets rapidly, with max acc, sure they'll hit where you aim, but with the massive recoil, it might not be where you want them to go.)

They don't. Accuracy makes you.. well, more accurate, hitting exactly where you're aiming. Stability makes the weapon recoil less when fired.

The higher your stability, the less recoil caused by each shot. The higher your accuracy, the less dispersion on your shots.

Accuracy is much more of a 'hard' statistic than stability. You can control stability to an extent with fire discipline and preemptive aiming. You can't, however, control the dispersion of your shots in any way. In that sense, accuracy is more important.

But, if you are finding that your weapons are 'kicking' too much, and making it harder to hit your targets, you should invest in increased stability, since at that point it is affecting your accuracy as a player, making the statistical accuracy irrelevant.

Accuracy is like a laser point on your barrel. The higher it is, the less it moves.
Stability is recoil. 38~ish is the max.

Higher number = better (generally)

Stability affects how much your gun kicks when shooting. Higher number means less kick. Accuracy affects how close your shots will be towards the center. Higher the number, tighter the spread.

Stability is how well you can hold your gun on target while firing.

Accuracy is how likely your gun is to shoot on target.

Does stability direct the accuracy of the bullets? lets say my recoil goes vertical, do the accuracy of my bullets follow the vertical recoil? or is stability mostly a visual kick and the accuracy may still be centered?

Lol nevermind I just realized how bad that question was. ^^^

Your shots will follow the vertical recoil, I.E. the shots are tracking up along with your reticle and camera. But the accuracy itself is the same, maintaining the same dispersion as the shots go up from the recoil.

Recoil will change where you're aiming at; recoil is counterbalanced by stability, lessening recoil and staying on point. Accuracy will shoot relative to where the gun is pointing, so if the gun is at the ceiling because of recoil the accuracy will deem you as aiming at the ceiling and act accordingly.

So with my Gecko rifle, hypothetically, with 0 stability, but high accuracy, it will pretty much have massive recoil, but the dispersion of the bullets will be consistant with the recoil then?
