My Stupid Meth Lab Keeps Exploding

I am adding the correct chemicals to the lab, and yes, I'm double checking to make sure Bain doesn't change his mind halfway through the sentence. I just add whatever chemicals when he says to and then the lab blows up. Is there like a random variable that decides the meth lab will just explode for no reason or is it a common bug?

There are clues in his lines sometimes. Two general ones that get confused are as follows:

Any time Bain says "F*** me", it doesn't matter what he says afterward, it's always HCL.

If Bain says "These internet descriptions are iffy", it's CS.

Also, Chloride Soda Hydrogen Mix is HCL.

All of the other lines will usually tell the right ingredient.

There is no random variable, it's just that there are some sentences that Bain just says the wrong ingredient. You can either wait for another sentence, ask your teammates about what did they hear or check a guide and memorize those wrong sentences.

It's not a bug, just don't put on an ingredient when he says "I'm going with..." because he doesn't sound convinced at all. Also, COMMUNICATE. He'll say different line to everyone (because there's more than one line per ingredient), so chances are someone knows for sure what to put in.
Also, the third ingredient is always the one you didn't use. Seems logical but it's worth mentionning.

I mean, I do get caught off guard every now and then by bain when im not thinking, but all of his lines are correct besides,

It IS a bug. One of the sound files is in the wrong location, or is told to play at the wrong time or something, and it only occurs with ONE message that Bain says.
Whenever he says, "**** me, we needed those cooks. I'm going with Caustic Soda." It's actually Hydrogen Chloride that you're supposed to add.

If Bains says ANYTHING else, do as he says.
