Fun fact:English version of Ghost in the Shell, Togusa's gun was mistakenly translated as "Matever", despite being named Mateba in the Japanese version
Fun Fact#2:there are only 5 M2006 registered in American soil, and only one has the rare weighted long barrel
For those wondering about the differences, the 2006M was a standard revolver in function with the exception of a bottom shooting barrel and cylinder that swing up above the firearm.
The Mateba Model 6 Unica was very similar in appearance in many respects, but lacked the top frame bridge above the cylinder and the frame itself was larger in front of the trigger, an overall bulkier design. Besides looks, it featured a recoil spring to ♥♥♥♥ it's own hammer where the entire upper half of the frame (plus cylinder and barrel) would move backwards over the lower half of the frame like the slide on a semi-automatic pistol.
Basically this is a case of mistaken identity either with the weapon itself or just the little blurb on the website, (it is possible the 2006M was intended and the person who wrote the text on the website make the mistake) which for such an obscure piece isn't a huge deal, I would be more bothered by such a mistake on something far more common and well-known.
I wonder how it will compare between the Bronco and the Peacemaker.
The Mateba is really rare due to very few models produce before Mateba went bankrupt after some lawsuit between Mateba and Chiappa itself
But the second part isn't true, the Mateba company folded in 2005 for an entirely different set of reasons, and Chiappa wasn't involved with the Rhino design until after 2008 and Emilio's death.
